Tristan Chimney Inspections

Nov.2/22 - Finding a dead bird in the firebox, I called Tristan. They sent someone quickly to inspect my occasionally used fireplace to see if it was safe to use. A prompt and friendly service man came in 2 days to show me a clear and clean chimney OK to operate the fireplace.

I was very impressed with Maxwell and Harman for their professionalism. I told them that the fireplace in my North Vancouver home had not been used since 2015, so I expected buildup and debris. When Maxwell inspected the fireplace chimney prior to the Chimney sweep, he indicated that it was clean, and an actual cleaning wasn’t necessary. He showed me the image indicating that it was clear from the bottom to the top. I appreciated his honesty very much, and told them to go ahead anyways, since they were here. Very good service, Julian was on time, and even moved his schedule around, showing up early to accommodate our schedule we had carpet cleaners coming in the same day. He removed our wood burning insert and found a buyer for it, giving us a fair price. His communication was excellent, with an average email reply time of about 30 minutes. I had my chimney swept by one of Julian's workers. He was pleasant, clean and provided some advice on lessening the amount of smoke the fireplace was creating in my living room. He did a great job! However, when Julian contacted me for payment I expressed I felt I didn't have a strong resolution to the issue and wanted more info. He immediately booked a time to come look at it himself and was on time and lovely to deal with. He inserted a barrier and we agreed if that still didn't solve the problem he would come back and we could investigate further. Just on the off chance that it could be repaired we had Julian from Tristan Chimney come to our house to give his professional opinion. It turned out that there was a technology available to help. His team were on site on time and had the work done efficiently and at a very reasonable cost. We're so happy to have our fireplace up and running with all this snow!
