I can not rave about Trish's enough! I've been going here for years and it's totally worth the 45 minute drive. I love that the bread is unsliced although they do offer to slice it for you. I buy the multigrain bread and buns every time I'm there I individually wrap slices and buns and freeze. Their squares are amazing! The British Bombshell I think that's the name - is an overloaded eclair is a great indulgent treat too. I haven't had the cupcakes in a while but the ones I've tried have been great! I was a little disappointed that the Hamilton shop changed hands, as it was a closer drive, but their new recipes don't compare to Trish's!
I visited Trish’s Bakery for the first time this past Saturday & it’s simply amazing! They have an INCREDIBLE amount of fresh baked delights & great selection of frozen & packaged items too. I bought a selection of items & everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious! Trish & Roger were so helpful walking me through various items in the store & even suggested websites to check out & sources of hidden gluten to watch out for when I’m grocery shopping…much appreciated. I was recently told I have to go gluten free & was feeling very panicky but felt so much better after visiting Trish’s! Thanks so much & I will be back soon ...& often!! Well worth the 45 minute drive!
I tried to get one of everything that was gluten free and vegan... I was not disappointed!! Rodger was very nice and took me through the store and how/what things were made from. Pies are made to order and I think that's my next update for this great bakery in Port Dover. I would give 6 stars if I could!! I'll be back... ;
Just had THE most amazingly delicious blueberry turnover from Trish's. Filling but light at the same time and perfectly punchy with the blueberries! Customer service was delightful as well.
This tiny bakery up in port dover has really good cupcakes. I had the margarita cupcakes which has a tiny squirty thing injecting tequila into my cupcake! The cupcake was very dense, moist, and the frosting was really good. Im not usually jnto frostings because of how sweet they get. This one has the right sweetness for me and dense but buttery consistency. It was a unique twist for a cupcake havjng the booze. 19+ only. They also have a variety of pastry bars, cookies, gluten free bread and pastries, coffee tea, meat pies and deli delights. The place is quite small and with a lot of people inside it can get stuffy.vfew tables for eat in customers. They have frozen items that you can take home and cook meat and pasta. Overall i was happy with ny dessert.
I pre-ordered a GF pie shell today for a freshly picked bush of sour cherries at our home. Your pie shells are 10 + Thank you.
Love the sweets but I go back every time for their bread and buns! It's as close as I've ever found in my extensive travels to a normal slice of gluten full bread.
100% Gluten Free bakery and cafe! Husband and wife team Roger and Trish! Incredibly friendly, willing to spend time with you to talk about the history of their business! Very interesting story! Pop in and chat with them! They have VEGAN, and dairy free options! They sell a wide variety of sweet baked goods and Savory meat pies! They sell local honey and many other items! Highly recommend this business! The eclair is called a British Bombshell. It is a chocolate eclair, with a Cadbury Flake Bar inside the cream, topped with caramel and Skor Bits. The meat Pie was a Steak Pie. All are gluten free of course. Using their own flour blend.
What an incredible discovery for a gluten-free gal! Trish has amazing baked goods for all kind of restrictions! I was especially thrilled with the eclaire and the cinnamon bun which were divine! Can't wait to be back!
Yummy gluten and dairy free options that always satisfy a sweet craving! Great owners.
