An easy five-star review. From the warmest of welcomes from Lacy and Brett to the large river-view room, superb in-room amenities and a lovely indoor pool, our stay could not have been better.nI saw another reviewer joke that Brett should stay off the caffeine - blimey, what a lovely and enthusiastic young man he is, a credit to the place.
It was located in the perfect place as it was off the beaten path of the busy city of the Miramichi. It wasn't to far from gas stations and restaurants. The staff were amazing and the restaurant that was located in the hotel was great. It is also a perfect location for NBCC students taking Justice studies public safety needing a place to stay for practicum as the jail is 11 minutes away. 10/10 how recommend.
I'm staying here overnight. Thankfully, it was only one night. This is not our first time here but probably our last. Due to lack of knowing at time of booking if can be guaranteed ground floor room. Booked this room 4 weeks ago. Preferences have been noted and mentioned that would require accessible room meaning at very least ground floor especially when no elevator and not far down hallway. As I use a cane and at times a walker. This time, staying here, we were given a 2nd floor room at the very end of the hallway. The room was also uneven literally it is leaning the beds lean towards the wall where your head is and to the outside its not just the bed its the floor and you can see and feel it as you walk out the hallway seems to be a structure issue. You can feel the floor leaning in the bathroom. And with mobility issues, just that small leaning made it hard to keep your footing in the shower. As well as get into bed with it leaning. We asked for another room due to having to climb stairs and walk far and because of the leaning but was told there was none left yet could go online to hotel website and book for the same night. So, the employee or website was lying. I know the story will be. There was nothing any closer. Also, some mold in the bathroom. Will see how the rest of the night goes and check out. Also was unpleasant every time leaving or coming having people smoking cigarettes and weed next to both doorways we used, including the main entrance.n**Update offer to change rooms only came in in the middle of the night via response back to this review below. By this time, I had already had to go up and down. If they go above and beyond, you would have done so at the beginning, or when requested, or at the very least when you made your reply to review. Brett would have known exactly who made the request and who came in with the cane to match this review further more he was very familiar with us as one of us helped him open a door due to a table falling against it. And made the request. I think responses are just made to make the public face of the hotel look good, which I do appreciate, but there is a lack of ownership in issues or preventing of and rectifying the situation. along with the lack of the so-called going above and beyond for guests. Also, I was not expecting a 5 star accommodation, just better room selection from the arrival, considering the situation. This is, unfortunately, not the first time an issue has come up in previous stays, and the same thing lacks ownership of the situation.
My go to spot when I go visit my familynI’m the cool aunt because “I got a pool”. Comfortable lounge chairs to relax while the kids swim.nStaff is all fantastic.nBut Brett front desk was so welcoming and helpful.nHe’s such a bright light.nThe restaurant Hennessys has many different dishes to enjoy toonWill be definitely returning on my next visit
We had a wonderful experience. The customer service was outstanding and the saff were very accommodating. The rooms were clean , the pool was great, and having Hennessey on-site was great . Family also stayed here who were visiting from out of province and they were pleased with their multi night stay .
