The room itself was clean. Beds were comfortable. Although it's probably a bit older, it was still comfortable. There was an incident across the hall that ended with the gentleman being removed by police drunk, stoned?. For the entire stay, I would say that by my personal standards the hotel was quite noisy and for the first time ever in my life I had to call down to the front desk as people were still socializing in the halfway at 11pm. It is a bit out of the way, but that did work in our favour as Miramichi had a massive power outage and we were outside that outage.
I was surprised to find out it’s only a two star hotel. I really liked it and the price was reasonable. Room was clean, had all necessary accessories, bed - comfortable. It has a beautiful terrace for breakfast right near the water; basic breakfast was included and we enjoyed it with a view. The hotel also has a swimming pool we didn’t have a chance to try. As to things that could be improved: background noise of the equipment the issue at many hotels in Canada, shower head.
The staff were friendly and helpful! The restaurant and pool were both down for the holidays but they ensured we knew! It was difficult to find the place; the sign was not lit and it was a dark foggy night. We actually entered the parking lot and left at one point while searching because there was no visible signage.nnWe stayed in the King Suite; it was great! My only complaint about the room was that several light bulbs didn't work. The room was definitely worth the price! The whirlpool tub was excellent; everything was spotless. A very comfortable stay! Thank you!
The rooms were clean and well-maintained. A few scratches here and there, including on the doors probably due to luggage, did not detract from the experience, unless you're Ultra fussy. The staff were very friendly. If no one was at the desk when you arrive, there were signs to either ring the bell or to pick up the phone. Someone arrived shortly thereafter. The breakfast what's good for a buffet. The scrambled eggs were unsalted, so you can spice them to your liking. I only use pepper. There was bread and bagels for toasting. Plus an automated pancake maker which seemed quite popular but I did not use. Other selections include yogurt, cereals, tea and coffee, well cooked sausages. Recommended oh, and I will stay there again.
Nice place generally speaking. The rooms are outdated but clean, for the most part. No toiletries in the bathroom, food is amazing highly recommend the Guiness fish and chips.nnDo not go to the pool. The floor around it is slippery large tiles. My sister fell and everyone was commenting it was way too slippery. The walls of the pool itself also had algae and there were broken pool tiles under chairs along the side from the bottom of the pool.nnThat being said, the staff are impeccable and you won't find that level of politeness or attentiveness anywhere else.
