Trapper's Sushi was a fantastic experience. We came as a party of 3 on a Saturday. We had about a 15 minute wait for a place to sit at the bar for the all you can eat sushi lunch special. Each seat at the bar has a hook to hang a purse or bag, which is convenient. We were sat with Austin who is a sushi master. We started with the California crunch, a classic basic roll that everyone enjoys. Then we got the Uncle Steve, which has a kick to it for sure and is decent for a raw roll. Next up, the bonney lake, which has heaps of crab on top and a crispy fried outer layer. Then the Phoenix, which had grilled salmon, and I wouldn't really recommend it. Then we got THE BUDDHA which is our all time favorite. This was the best sushi I ever had. It has fried shrimp in it, and I normally don't even eat fried shrimp. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BUDDHA ROLL! Finally, we ended lunch with a custom roll made by Austin called the Karma roll, which had some citrus elements to it and was absolutely delicious. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I will be back for sure. Thank you, Trapper's!
I have been eating at trappers for a few years, but lately i have been coming to Bonney Lake a lot more because of the people who work here and manager Laura. Her customer service skills are very wonderful and she has an eagle eye on everything in the restaurant. I’ve enjoyed getting to know her because it is nice to have great conversations with her and the chefs. , Tito, and Donvovan are my 2nd favorite chefs because they make jokes the whole time. Brandon is my favorite chef though because he makes the most delicious sushi ever. Rick is my favorite bartender and is a fascinating person to talk to. Jenna makes better drinks though ha ha. Along with the food, and your very nice servers and bartenders it is always an enjoyable experience.

It had been a while since I had sushi and Trapper's did not disappoint. My brother and I chose 3 rolls for lunch, and it was just the right amount of food. The service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. The rolls, yet similar, had very different flavors. Each one had a very lovely heat through both peppers and peppered sauces. I cannot wait this long to have my next plate of sushi and Trapper's will be my choice. Highly recommend, I have never had a bad experience at a Trapper's location whether it be Bonney Lake, Tacoma, Silverdale or Lacey.
Trapper’s never fails on girl’s sushi night! It took a while to get seating because of a misunderstanding by the Hostess, but the service was great! We’ll be back!
Wasn't really happy with the cold food that was a small portion and high price. I wish they had a bigger selection of non fish sushi. I got the chicken & steak. Is this for a child? Also steak was burnt & chewy, tough. :/ ended up making a sandwich..Also my daughter ordered a tuna roll. She got an avocado roll? Someone else's order? Oops?..

I love the food at trappers. It's always excellent. The service at this location has gone downhill though. It used to be awesome, but the servers are overworked and understaffed. For that reason service is very slow. There's always empty seats in the restaurant and long wait times. There's definitely a need to hire additional employees. But every time I go in there it's the same long wait times and open tables. We keep going back because we love the food and hope service gets better, but it seems to be the same every time we've gone in recently.
This is one of my favorite places to eat at, as far as the food. It is also the worst service out of any restaurant I’ve ever been. I’ve been to the trappers and Bonney Lake many many many many tons, never have I got a good fast service unless you said it to all you can eat bar they cater to the people sitting at the bar. It doesn’t matter if you order in 20 minutes early., It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there waiting, they will dedicate three sushi chefs to the bar and two for the rest. I’m never coming to this place again, slow service I’ve ever seen in my life
I was so disappointed on the way I was treated we came in with our two kids and baby I was told they would clean a table for us . There was three tables for us to sit down and no problem. We would only get looks and they would keep staring at us . We waited for about 5 minutes and I told my husband to just go . I didn’t want to be in a place where I didn’t feel welcomed . I am so disappointed on this place mostly because my husband was so excited to come here since he loves sushi
