Extremely good service and insightful ownership! Food also very good deal for what you get. The poke is wonderful. The Alberta beef sushi... well, it wouldn't be my first choice, but everything else was delicious.Food: 3/5
Ordered takeout. I’m impressed by the portion… very small! The rolls are the tiniest compare to any Japanese restaurant I’ve been to. Tempura is over frieddark and dry. I will not come again
My sister ordered for the family. The quality of the maki that we got was not an enjoyable experience. The avocado was over ripe. The quality of the rice was inconsistent. Some maki was over cooked and mushy. Others were undercooked. The foundation of sushi is the rice, you can’t let this go wrong…
I tried the Rainbow Burrito and Scorpion Roll from here recently. The Rainbow Burrito was good with a nice blend of texture of the ingredients but did not bring out any of the fish other than the scallop. The Scorpion Roll was quite tasty but the sauce can feel quite overwhelming after a few pieces. Overall, the items are worth trying and I recommend sharing them so it’s more balanced. Also note that the man behind the counter was very nice and paid attention to customers.
We phoned and ordered take out for dinner. Went to pick up at the time they told us to and still had to wait another 20 mins. The restaurant was full of delivery drivers waiting for their food as well. The food was good. We got a cooked poke bowl, a sushi roll, some sashimi and beef wrapped enoki mushrooms. The enoki wrap was really good, we liked it but thought that almost $2 a piece was a bit steep. We got the crispy salmon poke bowl. It was full of veggies which is great but would be nice to have more rice as well. The crispy salmon was in tiny pieces so yo couldn't really taste it. Other than the crunch it offered you couldn't really taste the salmon. The roll was ok as well. Overall this restaurant was good.
Friendly staff. Flavourful sushi. Generous portions the poke bowl with 3 scoops of protein was more than enough for an active, hungry adult. Among our better overall experiences in Alberta. The inside space is straight forward eg. no frills or romantic lighting but It was exceptionally clean and that’s a big plus when talking sushi. Overall, a positive experience.
We ordered assorted sushi tray. We are very disappointed in the rice used in sushi. It is very dense and is not well seasoned. It was not prepared properly. The ingredients used are average. Sadly, we will not be ordering again.
The sushi rice does not appear to be made by hand but more like a machine pressed rice then a piece of fish being placed on top. The nigiri rice and fish will fall apart. The fish varies in shape too. The rolls are cheaper than other restaurants but much smaller and less ingredients. Not very appealing. Price is cheap coz of the quality so I can't say it is good value. This is a place to get sushi with lots of rice to feed people.
Pretty misleading description on party tray maki: California rolls, Dynamite rolls, Large California & Futomaki rolls... Check out pictures of what was in the tray. There was practically no fish in any rolls and all for $75... Maki with carrots?! It was almost embarrassing to serve this to our guests. Honestly wish I just went to T&T because this was certainly not better.
Awesome!! The chef explained the menu & made suggestions. The food was soooo good . Will definitely go back again. Dietary restrictions: We have an egg allergy & they made sure no mayo was on roll.
