I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 4 months because it's convenient to where I need to go while there. The front desk staff have been amazing and I like having a kitchen to use while away, that's why I have returned.nEvery time I have stayed there has been hair in the bathtub or the sink or both. The corners of the rooms are starting to get a dirty build up from not being cleaned thoroughly.nThis last stay we were woken up at 3AM by the fire alarm going off. It was cold and snowing outside and there we stood, 2 adults, 3 kids under the age of 5 and 2 small dogs. We were outside freezing for an hour, while the fire department checked everything out. I found out the next day from the front desk staff that there was no fire but a system malfunction... likely because it hadn't been maintained properly. Was there any type of compensation or apology from management? No.. nothing.nManagement could take a few lessons from the front desk staff on customer service.nEven though it's convenient for me, I'll be staying elsewhere on my frequent trips to Sherwood Park.
Great experience here. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The front desk staff was amazing and very helpful both in the evening and the morning. The hotel is very quiet and conveniently located by Yellowhead Trail. The only thing that I didn’t like was the lack of options for breakfast and the available options were bland but I can easily look past that. Overall, I was really impressed with this TownePlace Suites and highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.
What a welcoming experience! The staff member at the front desk was training a new staff member, and she was doing a very thorough job of training, while still being very informative and accommodating for us. The crib we requested was ready for us when we arrived in our room. They called to check in on us a short while after we checked in, which was really thoughtful! We hadn't even realized we lost our baby's blanket on the way up to our room, and when we returned down to leave they flagged us over and handed the blanket to us, folded and bagged. I was very grateful as the blanket is a special one!nThe suite is lovely! A kitchenette with an apartment sized fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, and coffee pot. It comes with minimal supplies but there are several notices in the room that explain all the things you can borrow including board games and grilling tools if you desire! The bathroom is bright and spacious, and large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which I appreciate, instead of the tiny bottles that create a lot more waste. The shower is well designed, with the handle to turn it on placed on the opposite wall of the shower head, so you aren't sprayed with cold water while trying to figure out the temperate. The bed is comfy-not too soft, not too firm.nThe views aren't anything special, but we didn't expect/need that, based on location. The swimming pool is actually in the sister hotel next door, which is slightly inconvenient in the winter when it's cold, but not a huge deal. With hot breakfast omelette, toast, bagels, cereals, build your own breakfast sandwich, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, milk included in the very reasonable price, with lots of amenities nearby, we couldn't be happier with our choice!
Nice room, almost brand new place. Breakfast was very busy, no one to clean tables, we had to clean by ourselves and have breakfast. Everything else was superb
The property is located in Sherwood Park. It is a not so busy place. Very calm and quiet at night. The room that we checked in was large enough to accommodate 4 people. Very clean and has kitchenette complete with utensils. And a table that can let people eat comfortably. The bed and pillows were perfect too. The complimentary breakfast was great and filling. And lastly, the service was absolutely amazing!
