First time as I read all the 5 star reviews. The interior design of the restaurant is modern and warm with lots of wood and dark but high ceilings. The service is friendly and you order at the counter and then pick up your food after, then clean up your stuff like eating at a fancy food court. The restaurant has a unique way of serving food that is interesting to watch. You can order your food and grab it when it’s ready. The girl told me to expect a wait of 20 minutes as they were very busy. I ordered the Emperor Rolls 8 piece with salmon, white fish and shrimp. The packaging of the food is aesthetically pleasing, and the presentation of the dish was impressive. Sadly the rolls very underwhelming for me. The fish didn't taste or feel the best quality. The rice was not top grade sushi rice I am used to. Sushi is a delicate dish that requires fresh ingredients and careful preparation. This is not the case here and as they say too many cooks spoil the broth. Too many people handling the preparation. If you want a truly authentic sushi experience then do your research carefully. If you want fast food sushi then you get what you pay for.
It’s soooooo goood. My new favourite sushi spot in Mississauga. Location is super cute. Ambiance is so warm and the quality of the food is out of this world. I love their takeout boxes so much. Very well organized and fresh. Kid-friendliness: We dined with 6 kids and they were super friendly and accommodating. Please keep in mind their space is small. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
We got the take out box for 2 which is basically like a sampler box of all their menu items. The presentation was very beautiful and the food delicious. There were a few pieces from the box that surprised us so I am excited to order those next time I stop by. Would highly recommend the sushi box for 2 since you may be surprised as well!
We tried the tasting box - absolutely would recommend for anyone trying Toro Toro for the first time. Great variety of the items they offer and the quality is amazing. My wife got the shrimp poke bowl and she really loved it as well!
Things have improved at this restaurant. Not much wait time for pickup orders now less than 1/2 hour - which is the way it should be. I have updated this review from one star to four. We tried the Tasting Box for Two, which was pretty good. Service was decent - the cashiers need better training ex: the cashier I dealt with didn't know the difference between order & credit card receipts.
Ordered a total of 7 different items to try, we love their sushi pizza, especially the one with tuna. Everything else was really good too. Nice packaging, with individual wasabi and soy sauce in each box. Definitely would recommend to try if you haven’t already!
You have seen this probably all over your social media over the years! It was great to finally tried this since it’s more closer to where I live. To be honest I do believe it is overrated. But WOW! They have beautiful packaging and design, but the sushi is not worth the hype. I decided to get the box of two that was advertised, turn out to be $70 before tax. Which is pretty decent since we didn’t end up finishing most of it. I found the sushi had super heavy sauces which made me get sick of it super quick. My favourite piece was the sashimi… as well lots of the sushi fell apart. Especially the pressed sushi. With this price range it shouldn’t be falling apart especially a pressed sushi piece. They have dine in but you have to order first like it’s take out. Then you bring it to your table and they do provide plates if you’re eating inside.
Food was impeccable! The food is consistently good. I've been here multiple times and it's always delicious. Service was excellent, everyone is really nice and welcoming. I went during lunch and it was pretty empty. There were a lot of take out orders being picked up, but it was nice I didn't have to wait. Restaurant and bathrooms were really clean. Highly recommend
I order from these guys almost weekly, sometimes multiple times a week and it’s been pretty consistent every time I order, I love the aburi torched sushi. The sushi tacos are also very good! I just wish they were closer to me so I tend to use Uber mostly. Overall one of the best and fresh sushi experiences I’ve ever had. The only thing I wish I could do is customize dishes like remove the sesame, don’t particularly like it and also have severe allergies in the household, but am careful when I order
You definitely need to order ahead of time so you avoid the long wait. I ordered ahead of time for takeout and my order was available when I arrived. Even for dine in, it would be best to order ahead as there is no table service and this is more of a fast casual restaurant. The food was really tasty and I thought the portions were fair for the price. One thing to note is that parking is difficult to find as it is in the bottom of a condo building and all parking is paid.
