It's alright. Torched Salmon poke bowl: $18.75 after tax. Salmon portions are way too small for a regular size bowl. Toppings are ok, would be good to have kimichi included in the bowl. Wasabi mayo is good, good nose burn on every bite. Could be a little strong for other customers. Bonus side they gave a free green tea Arizona for paying with cash! Overall it's okay.
I got pokéd by this mini dynamite. *NEW POKE STATION ALERT IN MISSISSAUGA* Ono Poke Bar It was my first time trying the poke bowl and, I was excited as well. It has all the fresh veggies and chicken combined beautifully with the flavourful sweet & tangy sauces. The bowl is also available in signature flavours or, you can build your own as well. What did I try? Signature Avocado Chicken - Comes with brown rice you can choose white rice as well, with mixed greens, tender chicken breast, Avocado, carrot, cucumber, corn , pineapple , fried onion , cherry tomato, furikake, unagi tare sauce topped with spicy mango, truffle mayo and teriyaki mayo. Swipe to see them yourself Ono Poke Bar @onopokecanada 516 Curran Place, Mississauga I am planning to try their Big Island bowl with Torched Salmon and Tuna on my next visit. Was very excited to try this place as I lived in Toronto before and tried most of the Poke restaurants. I ordered the spicy mango poke bowl but didn’t quite meet my expectations. Will give them another shot and try the classic salmon next time. Hopefully that would be better. Although it tasted good, the portion size is too little for the box.
Oh no is right. I was quite excited about having a Poke place open up in the Mississauga City Centre area. That excitement all went away with the very first bite I had. I ordered the Spicy Mango Salmon bowl. While it looked appetizing, it certainly wasn’t. To start the salmon pieces were tiny. Evidently cheap cuts of salmon that were salvaged to be sold. 70% of the bowl was rice. Not sushi rice either, just plain white jasmine rice. There were some other toppings that was supposed to add texture and flavour but their bland sauce made everything taste the same. Overall it was not a pleasant meal. If you have a typical go-to for sushi/poke bowls then I highly suggest sticking to that place. Save yourself both the time and money and avoid Ono Poke Bar.
I was excited to try this place as there aren’t too many poke options in Sauga. I ordered through Uber and ordered a large with Torched Salmon. The amount of food that came with the order was very underwhelming, and much less compared to other Poke places. The bowl was only half filled!? For a almost $20 bowl, this is not acceptable.
For those who visit Ono Poke Bar: Classic Salmon bowl was just okay. Kinda small portion for the amount you pay. I found a piece of avocado peel inside. Not happy / satisfied.
Not bad I usually go Toronto for poke so nice to see new spots popping up ordered during a buy one get one free promo. Arrived in a timely fashion admired them using brown rice to elevate and the chips to add a crispiness the toppings were all fresh but I'd say a bolder sauce would do them good luckily I had spicy mayo!
The best poke bowls I could ever recommend. I started ordering from here 7 months ago and have always been coming back since. 11/10, don’t skip this place if you love poke bowls Recommended dishesAvocado Chicken Special, Avocado Tofu
This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I thought it was pretty good, but also relatively average. The bowl was fresh, but the portion size was quite small. I ordered the large bowl, and it was still only half full, which was quite disappointing, especially because the price is quite expensive. Salmon tasted pretty good, but I wish it had a deeper marinade, and I wish that the bowl had a bolder sauce to tie everything together. Again, I would have given them a pass on this, but given that they're charging close to $20/bowl, my standards are a bit higher.
when I entered the place there was no one at the counter except for the friendly employee at the yogurt shop right next to it, so I was a bit confused. they came a few mins later and told me the order on the counter was mine. the overall dish was okay. we got a large for torched tuna. however I did find that there wasn't a lot of fish included compared to other pokes I've had. it looked like they skimped on the fish and added a lot more of the base. we usually get one large for two people and would be full but this one didn't fill us up at all. the torched tuna was also a bit odd looking there was white stuff on top of it?, so we were a bit hesitant on eating it at first.
