The fries I was served today were absolutely disgusting. Extremely dry, shriveled and could barely chew into them… they were in the garbage by the 4th Fry along with the other dog I bought. Extremely disappointed.
food is always good but came in at 845 and they were pretty much shut down. couldn't order 1/2 of what i wanted - shake machine already broken down..... cook seemed annoyed i asked for food. typing this adter already waiting 5 mins for food.... its 8:48 and they close at 9.... and of course messed my order up. not happy today with them.
Great food and decently priced. Quick and friendly service. Hot dogs were good and the gyros were excellent--a generous amount of meat. The atmosphere is surprisingly fun. Kids loved the giant gumball machine and arcade game. A small selection of drinks are also available at their bar. We'll definitely be back again.
Have been coming here for over 15 years and it's very sad that the quality of the food has gone down hill big time. A few weeks ago, ordered some burgers for them to be completely raw still. Ordered food again yesterday and our beefs were beyond soggy, there was no bread! It all turned to mush. At least take the time to make the food correctly. You are going to make people sick.
They used to be so good. Today was a chicken parmigiana sandwich and breaded mushrooms. Mushrooms: not much flavor to them, plus an order consists of 8 mushrooms. Definitely not worth the money. I would be willing to pay the price for them if they were hand breaded and had flavor, not Cisco food. Chicken parm sandwich: just okay. Normally it is breaded chicken; I asked if I could get a char-grilled chicken instead. The cashier was polite and friendly and said sure she's the only reason for a 2 star. The guys cooking the food seemed confused and irritated with my order. Sandwich is served on a regular burger bun with mediocre sauce and cheese. It was just okay; on a better bun, better sauce it would be good. So my other complaint: the fried mushrooms were done before the chicken sandwich was; so they were sitting, Sitting, Sitting. Lucky they were still warm, not hot, but warm. I'm struggling with supporting them. I like supporting local places and have frequented them in the past. I’m also struggling with the complaints, comments and stares from the guys cooking, seems like they don’t want to be there. They used to have long lunch lines, but not any more. Judging from the food quality going down and quantity; customers are heading elsewhere. So, Tony's, meh.
Chicago dogs and pizza puffs! This is the best hotdog place in the area. Staff is always nice and friendly. You can also grab a beer if it's that kind of day. Eat it up!
Tony’s Italian beef beats Portillos any day! There was a sweet lady behind the counter who had stellar customer service! She was great at answering our questions and was very sweet to my elderly parents! Next time we’re in town to visit Cantigny Park, we know where we’re eating after! Also, thank you for the gyro slider recommendation!
Great food, good for a quick bite of nice greasy foods and great beefs also!!Food: 5/5
I have been going here on and off for a couple of years now. My wife and I decided to go and get 2 chili cheese dog's which the cheese was an additional .65 cents for each dog on top of the $4.19 they charge for the chili dog and 2 of their soup for dinner. The soup & hot dogs were both luke warm. Never got the cheese with neither of the hot dogs. I really don't no what happened to this place but it really went down hill! They apologized and gave me a gift card for my 2- chili dogs but wow horrible food.
I used to go here a lot when I was in Middle School and high School back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Just came back the other day 2023, and it seems like I stepped in a time machine because everything is exactly how I remember, only the two arcade machines have changed.
