We loved the experience and the best part is to have the lift. During daytime, there's height limit for the lift and ride, however this light show allows young kids too, as long as you are with carrier for younger ones. And having a light hike while enjoying the light show is actually fun! The kids are more likely to persevere! The light show is quite artistic too and there are lots of different elements. The story line is quite nice. Love the part with giant's footsteps!
Wow Great outdoor activity to do at night. Really very fun . Nice lights show.... Get ready to walk so bring comfort shoes, about 1.5h and bring a sweater it will be cold in the night! A must to do it. Amazing experience. Best recommendation
Fun nighttime hike, think would be good for families. Most of the unpaved/gravel/dirt trail has a bit of lighting but some spots pretty dark mini flashlight helpful!. Trail has you going up & down but not terribly difficult. Light & sound displays nicely done. Take your time & look around so as to not miss displays. Noticed many were rushing through as if was a race. We enjoyed it & had a good time.
Tonga Lumina was well worth the money. It is very well done and a great experience. I am not sure why people say the show is boring or not worth it. I note MANY people rushed through instead of taking the time to listen to the audio and watch the entire videos. It is not just a light show, it tells a story and maybe because we were slower we got to experience the entire show. We went with our 2 small children 3 and 7 and 2 seniors mid-70s. We brought a stroller and the staff informed us in line about how it would get to the top of the lift they provide a tag and it was waiting for us at the top. You should note that there are short uphill climbs throughout - it is not entirely downhill, with loose gravel in some spots. So be prepared if you have your stroller or for older seniors. That said, we were able to navigate the route with no difficulties.
Tonga Lumina was an amazing experience Not only did it teach us great lessons on how to protect our world,but also taught us that we are capable of doing good deeds through the legend of the giant. A magical show that entertained a big crowd of visitors. My 5 y.old got so entangled in the legend and the magic of the lights,that she didn't realize we hiked up and down the mountain like it was a joke . Creative,fun,extraordinary,must see show.
We drove their from Ottawa on a Saturday. The road itself is very nice and fun to drive between the mountains. The place is full of activities for any age. The mountain carting is a must to try. Since I had been to the Foresta Lumina, I can not miss this one. Here we are and another amazing night. If you are hesitating, go and try it. It was really cool. Better than expected. Pictures can't describe it. Pay attention to the storyline. It is fully immersive. Kids will enjoy it too. Tonga Lumina was probably one of the most magical experiences I've had in a long time. The hike was easy and I didn't feel rushed. The story was in both English and French and the light shows were amazing. Anyone who didn't enjoy this really must have had very very high expectations because I went in with low expectations and was in awe the whole entire time. I recommend this event for anyone who loves stories and magical experiences.
