This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Montreal. They have both authentic and Canadian dishes. The food is hot, fresh and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and they can accommodate most requests. I especially like the hand made noodles.
One of my go-to places for sure! I love everything they have on their menu and I always ask the person taking our order what they recommend. One of the best places so far. Even when you order food to go it's good, but not as good as it is in the restaurant. Service is really good and orders come out fast :
The food is really outstanding at this place. From the starters to the dumplings to the noodles etc…We had sweat and sour chicken and sesame beef as well as shrimp noodles. Portions are decent and filling. There is some wait before your food is ready because the place is always fully booked. Other than that the experience was smooth. Highly recommended.
The waiter was very nice and the food feels FRESH!!! I recommend you try that chinese spot. it’s my favourite in the city. We had the general tao, which was not overly greasy like some places, the salt and pepper shrimp which was amazing and even the spring rolls were delicious. 5 Star.
Never been here not at 4am lol but had the opportunity. They must have renovated it's so nice inside and clean and nice lighting, cute vibe. Food is delicious, I got the Dao mew veggie, Cantonese Chow mien, salt and pepper pork. All perfect except the pork could have been slightly less salted. Highly suggest! It was a Wednesday and quite busy!
We went to Chinatown on a very busy Friday evening all restaurants had lineups including this one but we left our name and came back 20 min later and were seated quickly even though the expected wait time was 30-45 minutes. The food on everyone's tables looked amazing and led to our order which was just as good. The food was fresh and authentic, good quality food for a decent price considering the location. The restaurant is well ventilated and air conditioned unlike many others in the area. The ambiance is nice and very clean. We had the tofu General Tao and it was amazing, the shrimp peanut butter dumplings are always a sure thing. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes I saw at the other tables there's a huge variety on the menu and many vegetarian options. I chose this restaurant because of the online recommendation and it did not lie! You won't be disappointed.
My family of 16 had dinner at Mon Nan last Friday night. It was an out of town family gathering plus my brother's birthday. We were surprised with a private room spread out amongst 2 tables. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic. The servers were polite and accommodating. We brought our own birthday cake and brownies. They cut the cake and plated it for us. My mom uses a walker and a staff member escorted her down the stairs which we was so respectful and appreciated. I highly recommend Mon Nan and will definitely return.
Friendly environment, excellent food, the quality of the food has never changed. Always delicious
The best Chinese soup the Hot and Sour that I have ever had in my life!
