Tommy's Dutch Lunch

I know people swear by this place, but the only time I ventured in, I was seated at the counter and ordered coffee. While we were looking at our menus, one of the cooks was sweating profusely over the griddle (I know it gets hot in a kitchen), but then proceeded to start picking his nose and then grabbing food items that were cooking with his hands to turn them over. We ended up just paying for our coffee and leaving.

Nice place. I tripped on the floor but didn't fall. The floor here going out to the bathroom is a trip hazard I think. I'd like to see more menu options without meat. I'd also like to be able to order a veggie burger.... Or oder a burger but swap the beef for a vegetarian option which was not a possibility. Nice people. Good food. I think some changes would suit them well. Some outside dining would be great in that area.

Great tasting food and generous portions for a good price. I always enjoy the casual home town diner atmosphere. The service has always been quick and reliable even though almost each time I go it is crowded and busy. They are doing it all right!

This is the place the locals have breakfast. It's funky, easy going, and the food is great. I have cakes and eggs a lot here. Pancakes are 12-inch diameter and half inch thick. Warm pancake syrup too. Omlettes are good and bacon crispy. Sausage and ham available too. Oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar. Mmmm....

Mushroom Swiss burger was great. Ample portions. Thanks for the attentive server. Would eat there next time we were in Walla Walla. Don't be fooled by the outside appearances! Eastern Oregon travelers.
