We don't usually eat Italian American and we cook it even less, but when we want it we come here. This is the Valley's answer to an Olive Garden, but with a more intimate feel. They do finally have gluten and meatless options available! In our opinion, the service is always 5 stars. The food? Not so much. Don't get us wrong, it's good, but not as good as the prices may suggest. Dinners can get quite spendy. Vegetarian options: Most dishes have meat in them. Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant. The tables are covered with paper that you can draw on! Parking: Plenty of parking. Half lot, half of it is gravel. Wheelchair accessibility: Half of the lot is gravel with a speed bump separating it from the other paved half. Most of the restaurant has booth seating and the bar tables are tall. The bathrooms are also in a hallway with heavy doors. Dietary restrictions: Obviously not a good place for lactose free options. However, they do now offer gluten friendly substitute pastas and burger buns!
Sadly, as Happy Day down sized the portions served at Tamatoe Brothers the quality has also gone down significantly. Use to be one of our favorite places. Now after the last 4 visits we will not be returning. Service is generally good here but the last time we were confronted with argumentative wait staff and served cold meals that had been sitting for some time as the top of my meal was drying out. I had the seafood fettuccine. It was okay but where was the sauce.
Was a great expierence, food was great, fast service good selection of beer. Servers were awesome. Will go again.Food: 5/5
Good food good service but not my favorite Lil Cesar's still wins in my bookFood: 3/5
They are a very organized and well taught customer service staff. My family definitely enjoyed eating out there and they are very kid friendly! My kids loved that they put paper on the whole table and they could color wherever they wanted. Definitely a blast and something that will be remembered!
My mother and I went out for an early dinner. I was able to order a nice selection from the Happy hour menu in the general seating area and my mom from the regular menu. Our server was very friendly even with all the people at the time.Food: 4/5
Terrible meal. Watched as part of the meal sat under the warmer for at least 10 minutes. Soggy fires and tasteless burger and hot soggy lettuce. Grilled steak bites were also tasteless and the baker had been sitting too long. Server had burger remade but it still had no flavor. Only good part was the server. She was great.
So I go to this place once every couple of months. It is kind of like a fine dining Italian cuisine. So I've ordered the NY steak three times in the last 4 months and it's inconsistent by far. The first time was not even a new york, it was a sirloin for sure I cook New Yorks all the time. The shape wasn't even right. Told the waitress, who in turn told the manager and they offered a free dessert......ok. second time I tried again and was a perfect steak and enjoyed it thoroughly so I ordered it again tonight and not only was it still mooing but the cut had no marbling and no fat on the side....very plain. Sent it back and came back medium instead of medium rare but that didn't bother me too much but could I get some consistency? Not only that I believe my shrimp were undercooked too. Other than that great drinks and ambience for a small town.
The atmosphere and service is good. Staff are not knowledgeable about special diets or at least about mine. Being vegan I just only get the hummas plate and tell them no butter, no feta, no cheese, and no parmesan sprinkle. Over the years they've still put cheese on it twice but this time they didn't so that was nice.
I've eaten here quite a while ago as I don't live in town. And it was good then. The service and atmosphere was great! The steak bites were the worst I've ever had, and the steamer clams, too. The base the steamer clams were in was good, but by the time I got to the casino in Lewiston I was feeling bad and puked and my date got sick too!
