Delicious hot and cold sandwiches, the best salad in town (packed with protein and flavour!). Also 5 soups every day, and a huge coffee menu made by very talented and experienced baristas. The recent renovations really opened up the atmosphere, and the paint freshened it up. There's also local faces in the staff, who are always pleasant and courteous. Not sure why reviews of late are bad, I heard lots of compliments when I was in.

Very sad and disappointed when I went into Toast today. The renovations, set up, and paint scheme are just awful. It used to be a fun, chic, place to go for great food, now...it resembles a cold cafeteria. They have a few grab&go things (extremely expensive) and some soup pots. The order line is confusing...order a coffee, then walk way over to the left to pay, then way back over to the right to pick up. It's just such a huge shame. Toast used to be the hot spot of Sidney, now I predict a slow failure over the next 6 months. Also...the new hours are weird...10:30am to 4:30pm...for a coffee shop??? Aren't these places supposed to be open early???😞😞

Toast was amazing. I'm not sure why they felt the need to change something that was working but they've gone in the exact wrong direction. Self-serve coffee, pre-made self serve breakfast sandwiches (which looked pretty sad). I don't want to pay good money for self-serve, boring food and coffee. Whoever took over this location has managed to kill the vibe and wonder that they had. RIP Toast.

A very welcoming place and always busy. Frequented by cyclists and locals this cafe is right on the corner and while there has always been seating available, it's nice to sit outside. Recently I had a pretty descent bowl of soup at Toast and was able to walk out the front door to snap a photo of my sister's plan flying over head. Recommend.

They renovated and changed from ordering from a menu board to mostly self serve. Good choice of soups which is what I was looking for.
