The Five & Dime Diner

Retro-looking place with easy parking, which was nice. Unfortunately, the coffee was a bit disappointing. The latte tasted more like drip coffee mixed with milk and didn’t have much foam, and the cappuccino felt closer to a latte but with a rather bitter coffee flavor.nnThe waffle had a nice crispy outside and soft inside, but pancake was just okay and nothing particularly memorable. The pesto chicken scramble was a bit lacking in flavor, and the chicken was somewhat tough. The omelets were decent.nnOverall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it’s probably not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit again.

Very bright, welcoming and retro style diner! Was very impressed to be greeted and seated quickly. I ordered the pulled pork burrito and salad, which was amazing but the burrito was a bit too saucy and I had to eat it with a fork and knife. It fell apart when I picked it up. I was not too happy about it but the taste made up for it! My partner had the crispy chicken wrap and fries and was very impressed by it! We appreciate the homemade taste and amazing service and atmosphere, we will definitely be back to try more.

I had a really great experience at The Five & Dime Diner. The staff were super kind and welcoming, which made a big difference right away. The food was fresh, tasty, and honestly really good. You can tell they care about quality.nnThere’s also free parking right in front, which makes it very easy to stop by. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything and would definitely come back again.

This place is AMAZING! Great food , adorable atmosphere , and friendliest, lovely staff . All thumbs up! A fantastic stop before the Swartz Bay Ferry.

As a picky eater I like to plan in advance so this place was marked out as a breakfast option for our upcoming vacation to Victoria. It did not let us down!! The food was phenomenal, the staff was a great vibe and the atmosphere was unique. During our four day stay in Victoria we came here twice. Highly recommend!!
