TLC Laser Eye Centers

I had a very positive experience with TLC. I got LASIK surgery done yesterday. The whole thing took about an hour I had all the tests done a week earlier at the consultation. All the employees are professional and explain everything you need to know. The surgery was not painful it just felt weird. I went home and slept for the whole day. I had my 1 day post-op appointment this morning and I have 15/20 vision already better than 20/20. My eyes have yet to feel dry so I recommend following the eye drop schedule provided day of. All in all, I think this is one of the best investments I’ve made since I really struggled with glasses and contact lenses. Good luck if you’re looking to get your eyes done! I had my laser eye surgery with TLC Toronto, and that was the best decision ever. It was like a life changing experience for me, I don't have to deal with glasses, contact lenses and blurriness after. TLC made the whole experience so easy for you, they have the best surgeons. I had mine done with Dr. Rootman, he was truly amazing. All the staff, from front desk to testing, to counseling and surgery worked seamless together, answered all my questions and concerns and made me felt very at ease. I had such a great experience at this centre. All the staff were kind, patient and understanding that laser eye surgery can be frightening. They really took their time to go over everything with me and answer all my questions. Dr. Rootman was my surgeon and he was very nice and explained everything to me. He gave me general updates during the procedure which helped calmed my anxiety. My optometrist was so patient, she gave me the most thorough eye exam I have EVER had to ensure the vision correction was right. The procedure does not hurt at all, it just a bit unusual but no pain whatsoever. I cant believe I didn't do this sooner! I am so pleased I finally did it.

Great experience all around. The staff was friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable about getting laser eye surgery. The procedure itself was so quick and easy and in a couple days my vision was nearly perfect with little discomfort or side effects. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to ditch glasses/contacts.

I'm so glad I was referred to TLC. The staff were all so very nice. They were so thorough with the scans and deemed I was not a safe candidate for laser eye surgeries. I'm grateful that they were thorough and honest with me. Safety and quality of outcome for their patients was their primary concern. Thank you!

I felt very well and professionally taken care of when I went for my Cataract surgery. The pretesting was done with all of the latest equipment, the premises were clean and modern, and the medical staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The surgery itself was painless, with minimal discomfort, and Dr. Rootman and his team were great. Three days post surgery, my vision is amazing. I would have given four and a half stars rather than five if it was available for one reason: sometimes the recommendations based on business rather than medical reasons are off-putting; both the Optometrist doing my initial exam, and the Ophthalmologist on duty stated that I did not need the optional laser marking for positioning my IOL, but the non-medical councilor during the initial visit tried to push it anyway, and I had to be insistent that it was not needed. On the day of the surgery, again the option was being pushed even though I explained that based on my discussion with the doctors it was not needed. The counselor went so far as to search out the doctor to double-check, and would have made me feel that it was a must, but as an eye care professional in the optical industry for 45 years I understood the reasoning behind the non-necessity. I would recommend that anyone going for a surgical procedure do their homework, and get the answers they need from the doctors. Other than that, I would highly recommend TLC for their level of care.

Excellent experience. The staff is very professional and kind, both for my initial assessment and the actual procedure day. The procedure itself was quick and successful. Yes, it was quite trippy and scary, but I felt safe and assured the whole time. The recovery was quite smooth, with check ups done through my optometrist you get a discount if your optometrist is part of the referral co-management program, which is nice. It's been 6 months and I just have a bit of dry eye in the wintertime. Otherwise I'm very happy with my decision to get Lasik here.

I’ll admit, I was nervous! That quickly dissipated once I met the friendly, professional staff at TLC. Both the consultation and procedure were carried out to my entire satisfaction. The surgeon keep me calm by providing positive comments throughout the procedure. This is only day one post- surgery and I can see clearly both near and far! No blurriness, colours are brighter and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I will spread the word that THIS is a great place!

**After I posted my review, i get a call back from TLC apologizing for the wait time and reassuring me of this service so it felt me realize the clinic is trying to their best and it shows they take their patients feedback seriously so for that reason I’m going to reconsider my review which I don’t usually do! Just please make sure that the wait times are shorter for everyone next time as we all have to juggle eye appointments with work. Thank you** The surgery wasn’t bad but post surgery care was just terrible! I had some issues with my eyes post surgery and just getting an appointment to see a doc was almost impossible, not to mention the wait time after getting the appointment which is over 3-4 hrs!! Eyes are one of the most important organs and a lasik surgery is a big deal, not to mention the costs which is over $5k! TLC really needs to do a better job of caring for their patients, it shouldn’t just be about making a sale and then they are done with you as soon as you get the surgery! Esp when they claim to offer life time guarantee, how can getting basic post surgery care be so difficult?

I’ve had such a positive experience going back for an enhancement at TLC after my previous surgery from 11 years ago. Their patient care is incredible from beginning to end. The surgery itself was nice and quick. Highly recommend this clinic!
