I came from out of town and needed to get my nails done for a wedding. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and easy vibe of the salon and I remember enjoying the music selection. Sara did a great job and recommended a great few polishes based on what I was looking for. It has been 12 days and the shellac is still holding up perfect! Thanks Sara & Tips! I go to Tips every couple of weeks for gel manicures with occasional nail art. While I can’t say I’ve been to all that many nail salons, I think Tips is fantastic! Staff are all very friendly and accommodating, and I’ve been pleased with the experience I’ve had with the variety of nail techs I’ve seen. My polish generally lasts the full two weeks despite being a fidgeter which I can’t say about gel manis I’ve gotten from other higher-end nail salons in the city, and the nail art skills are top notch. Great vibes inside, from the cleanliness to the music to the chatting and the clear camaraderie among staff and clients. They’ve been able to tweak my appointment times/services on short notice without rudeness or issue. Only nit is that they sometimes get off schedule, so you might start a bit late and feel a tad rushed - but in my experience, this is uncommon and not too significant. Not a cheap mani, but well worth the price from my perspective!

Everything about this salon is perfection. The best customer service I have ever experienced, hands down. Being greeted by name and having great conversation...just the start of an enjoyable experience. Melissa is truly the sweetest person and took her time turning my nails into this cute piece of art. My nails are so healthy almost 3 weeks later no thanks to the attention to detail Melissa put into the manicure. If I could fly back to Toronto to get my nails done again...I would. I booked for my Mom’s birthday as a surprise. The staff were extremely helpful getting it setup. My mom was very impressed by the facial and manicure services. She said the staff were meticulous and careful during both treatments. The salon is kept clean and modern. Can’t thank the staff enough for how friendly and helpful they were! We will definitely come back!

Don’t post reviews at all but a bit disappointed with my experience given all the 5 star reviews. Came here for a gel x manicure and removal. Paid ~$200 only to have one of the nails fall off in less than 2 weeks! This has never happened to me with any kind of extension including gel x. Another thing to note is that the polish job was quite messy around my cuticles - unfortunately this only became evident when my nails grew out. The whole process took nearly 3 hours, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the results reflected that.

Tips is THE BEST! The staff and owner Leeanne are amazing; they are professional, meticulous, and friendly. The salon itself is clean, bright, and modern. I’ve had gel shellac manicures on my own nails with all levels of art easy, medium, advanced; pedicures; facials; and lash lift & tints here. The nail techs are phenomenally talented and award winning. It’s my go-to place to pamper myself. I’m so glad I came across it years ago in a search for one of the best nail salons in Toronto. During the pandemic, I’ve felt safe here at every appointment with the measures implemented from masking to additional hand washing in the salon prior to appointments. Amazing experience at Tips Nail Bar on Danforth for some pre wedding pampering! Everything there was so easy from booking to altering our appointments last minute. The staff was so kind and accommodating and talented!

I was not very impressed by the service. I know I was a few minutes late 5 minutes but when I got there I felt immediately rushed. I know they were slammed but I made it clear this was the first time I had ever had a gel manicure so I wanted to do it right. In addition to this, they had mentioned to me that a gold manicure was possible. When I got there I was given an option for gold that looked totally different then what I requested. They did say the chrome effect would not be as visible, but the gold option I was given was sparkly, and quite honestly cheap looking. In addition to this, I ended up having to change my design on the fly, which also felt rushed. I was ok with my nails in the end but I wish I had more time to actually reflect and consider what I was getting into. I also found the price prohibitive, I had paid for 'medium' nail art, which was essentially a french manicure with an added stripe, this did not feel like a medium nail art to me at all. I also felt pushed again by the end of the appointment to book another one, which I felt wasn't the best way to attract more customers. I wish they had taken more time to ask about my experience. I hope they improve upon their service when they are busy. I know it can be a stressful job, but overall I was not pleased with the service given what I paid.Services: Nail designs

Quite possibly the best nail bar in Canada! I found Tips last year after searching around Toronto for a place that does nail art, little did I know that I would get hooked! I have come back every few weeks and have also moved my facials to their downstairs salon. Their customer service is absolutely top-tier; everyone I’ve spoken to at reception is lovely and friendly, and they’ve accommodated some last-minute changes and requests with zero issues. I’m always greeted by name when I walk in the door and offered a cup of tea. Their nails are AH. MAY. ZING. Seriously. Check out their Instagram if you want to get some inspiration. Every single person who has done my nails has done them perfectly, and I look forward to trying out new styles and shapes. There are no tricks here, just excellent training and artistic capabilities. I currently see Ana Mae for nails and she gets me. She helps me pick out styles and we have a great time, then I get to leave with the best nails of my life. I see Melissa for facials and she is incredible, I always leave with glowing skin! This place is worth every penny, thank you for being a happy break from my daily routine!

In love with this place. Melissa did an amazing gel job on my very short nails. She is super professional and also super nice to talk to. The customer service there is great. The reception ladies are super helpful and nice. I will definitely be back!
