We stayed at Timbers Lodge late September with our two dogs and it was an absolute treat! Our cozy cabin was very clean with new sinks and taps. The surroundings were stunning. Nice and peaceful, lots of trees and an easy five minute walk down to the lake shore. The owners are a lovely couple who live on site and only purchased Timbers Lodge recently and have really put in the effort to update the cabins and make sure you feel welcome. Every cabin had its own parking area and outdoor porch with BBQ. The cabins are nicely spaced apart so that you feel like you have your own space. And a larger communal play area for kids and games as well as a big fire pit situated away from the main cabin area. I highly recommend Timbers Lodge and will be returning in the future. Rooms: Clean, tidy and cozy Nearby activities: Apart from the lake. All nearby activities will require a short drive. As such the Timbers Resort is very peaceful. Safety: There was a bear spotted on site while we were, so just be mindful that you are in the wilderness. Walkability: There are not many places to walk to from the resort, apart from around the grounds and a short walk down to the lake shore. Food & drinks: No store or restaurant on-site to purchase food. Bring your own food or travel to the nearest town/restaurant. Cabins are equipped with a microwave oven, electric range cooker and outdoor BBQ. Noteworthy details: Great for kids during peak season. Perfect for couples off season.
I LOVE this place . Absolutely amazing , quiet , and was basically a paradise . Better than any type of hotel . Super rustic feel to it . Nice and secluded. Close to the water . LGBT friendly : Went here with my partner for our anniversary , and as a visually gay representing individual I was a little nervous , but the family that runs this place was more than welcoming . Never felt like a bother when I needed help with anything. Overall would recommend to everyone and anyone . The owners genuinely care about your enjoyment. And the price is very good !
My family absolutely loved our stay. The check in and out was extremely convenient. The cabin was absolutely adorable and cozy. All of the amenities I.e. playground, volleyball net, horseshoe set up, fire pit made it such a great experience for everyone especially the kids. I really appreciate the place being dog friendly, because I never leave my dogs anywhere. So having enough space indoors and outdoors to accommodate them was great! We loved being able to go on walks and down to the beach. The couple that owns it are so kind and wonderful. Even the father in law is hilarious. We will definitely be back!
Great place! Travelled with our big dog and 1.5 year old. Super family and pet friendly. We stayed in cabin 7 which was one of the smaller ones, but it was great! If spending more time indoors or staying in winter we will book a bigger cabin. Great hosts, was nice to sit around the fire in the evening with other guests, tons to do around the area. 10/10
Lovely cosey little cottages that are very well equipped. The owners Dave and Lynn are very friendly and accommodating if you have any needs, great value when you look at the other accomodation in the area. Just down the road from the Lussier hot springs too!
Wonderful spot for a quiet weekday getaway. Cabin #1 was super cozy, clean, and well maintained. Walked in at sunset to a warm cabin with the glow of the electric fireplace. It was perfect. Big trees and clean air. Very happy with our stay.Rooms: 5/5
Almost time to say goodbye to this beautiful place We loved and enjoyed every single details here, from the small to the big ones. So family-friendly! Starting from the lovely Little Free Library located when you get in. They have a nice playground, a net to play ball, a tree trunk made to play Tic-tac-toe how creative! and a horseshoes game. We stayed in cabin 1, which was perfect! Very clean, cozy and beautiful, they even have board games! It only remains for me to say to the owners: Thank you for making our stay so great! We will definitely coming back!
We absolutely loved our stay in Cabin 1 this past weekend. The cabin was quaint, cute and adorably rustic - and so clean!! And so nice to have the kids in a separate room. We loved the tall trees and mountain views. Definitely heading back to this gem soon.Rooms: 5/5
These cozy, clean rustic cabins are hidden gem! We stayed in cabin 7 with 1 bedroom, a futon in the living room, 3 peice bathroom and everything you need to cook in a kitchen and a BBQ outside. Highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Came for three days while it was -30 with our young kids, a little nervous. The cabins are old 50’s with wood paneling, very well kept with electric wall fireplaces in each room. It was cozy as could be, had a ski down to the lake and stayed up late feeling very happy in the old way! Thanks Dave and Lynn, we’ll done!
