Went here for lunch on a weekday, the food was fresh and delicious! Sushi was well made and meat was great. For $22 you can’t beat that. I gave 4 stars because the ordering system is a little confusing if it’s not explained and the servers just assume you know what to do.
This was out first time at this place! The food was delicious and we practically has the place to ourselves. Quite and intimate and very cool getting to cook your own food. My daughters 9 and 12 years old, loved it and thought it was super cool.
A great local spot for some authentic Korean BBQ! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meat & the sashimi/sushi options: stand outs were definitely the spare rib, chicken & salmon sashimi. The kimchi was the best I’ve EVER had & I truly enjoyed the mango ice cream to top it off. However, the beef & pork cut was very thin & I found the cost of a soda $2.50 was pricey for less than 250 ml. I would certainly recommend & I’ll likely return!
This place has it all! Korean, Japanese, Chinese food for All-you-can-eat and a la carte is good value and tasty. Friendly service! Keep this place in business! I go every time when I come from Toronto to Barrie.
Craving Korean BBQ and was pleasantly surprised. 9 of us arrived at 2:30pm. This restaurant not only had Korean BBQ but also sushi and some dim sum. All items were flavorful and fresh. The wait staff were very sweet. Definitely a nice go-to for an interactive family style all you can eat dining at a reasonable price.
We came back from Blue Mountain, also called before coming to make sure they were okay because we got there at 9:15 pm, great service, the waitress was really nice and helpful, we tried to eat fast since they would close at 10pm but she asked us to just slow down and enjoy it, really appreciated that, food also came out quickly and tasted good. Price was fair, definitely will be back when we're in Barrie again. Update: 11/6/2022, service was still good but everything was slow when they’re busy because they only have 1 waitress. The grill is not hot enough so it took a long time to cook, hope they do maintenance soon!
There is a pretty good variety of choices on the menu at Tian Ya BBQ. The usual korean bbq, sushi, dimsum etc. Though outdated in design, we quite enjoyed our time and the dinner. The waitress was extremely attentive but not pushy and overall we were pretty happy with the service. The bathrooms on the other hand, left much to be desired. The only actual problem we had was trying to have the grill changed, 3/4 the way through. After grilling marinated meat, the sauce/sugar tends to burn on the grill.. After abit of back and forth, it was clear she wouldnt change the grill. She kept saying it was fine. It wasn't a huge, huge issue.. but the char ended up sticking onto our vegetables and left over sausages, despite our efforts to scrape it off. Oh well. Vegetarian options: Since you can order whatever you want and vegetable opitions are available, technically, it can be vegetarian. Whether it's enjoyable vegetarian, is questionable Parking: There are a few free parking spots in front of the restaurants and then to the right of that a parking lot in which you need to pay for.
Berry nice staff, and the food was great... Only problem is the staff might be too attentive/keen to come to your table. You might like that or not, I guess it is a personal preference.Food: 5/5
delicious foods. first time to try special bibimbap and was definitely impressed! good siomais, sushis and weed salad. tried both dine-in and take-out. been a regular customer since 2017.
Rude and ineffective! The place is small and quaint. No issues there. The grill was not heating up. The meats were just boiling in their juices as opposed to actually grilling. It took forever to cook the food. When I brought it to the attention of one of the servers he said “ that’s all you get.” I noticed that almost everyone else was having the same problem. When I asked for a second beer the server brought it over without a clean glass. When I asked her to bring me a clean glass she picked up the old one, examined it, looked down the bottom of it and said “ we don’t have any more glasses.” She then walked away. Finally, the food was overpriced. There are far far better Korean bbq restaurants that provide much better service at the same if not lower prices. There were 4 of us there. We will never go back.
