Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association

About

Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association opened in 1956 and is home to more than 800 family members. T.G. encompasses 5,500+ residential homes.

Story

The pride and joy of the Association is no doubt our Community Centre. Located at 5600 Centre Street North, Calgary, the Community Centre is over 300,000 square feet of extremely well utilized space.

The Centre houses one artificial-ice arena, four racquetball courts, four 5-pin bowling alleys, a seniors centre, a members & guests restaurant/ lounge, two banquet halls and meeting rooms. The largest of these halls, the Main Hall, is multi use in nature as it serves as our bingo hall, gymnasium and banquet hall. The Main Hall is one of the largest halls of it's kind in Calgary.

The Centre is not exclusive to it's members. It is open to all who wish to enjoy it's many attributes.

Construction of the Centre commenced in 1956 and has been built to, built around and continues renovations as necessary.

We offer free Wi-Fi throughout the facility.

Mission

TO PROMOTE RECREATIONAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES.

Nice place to play bingo. But if you want to play balls good luck they only go to the regular players, over and over again.
Was only there to vote.. But walked through the disc golf park adjacent and watched some players. Looks cool.

Great community centre with passionate board and staff
Nice community hall. Great place to host the craft shows I have been to there. Suitable for a variety of community events. Lots of parking, but it does fill up.
Had a birthday party here in the bowling alley. Was a great place. Kids had a great time. Pizza and appetizers were very good.
