what a wonderful campground, quite and the owners are excellent, and the grounds are so pristine, of coarse so is the river. Bring fogger no sceeters but lots of knats. But very worth the campsites, which are huge.... Love it!!!

Just called to book for a full month in order to relocate to the area. Needed a temporary place to stay with my 2 kids, ages 1 and 4. The woman who answered the phone was extremeley rude. She gave me the monthly rate and then asked for how many people. When I told her it was for me and 2 kids, she said "I don't think it's going to work out". When I asked why she stated that she did not want kids there at all. VERY RUDE. She didn't even bother to ask how old my kids are or anything, and they are very well behaved kids. An entire month I would have paid up front and she was willing to pass this up even with the current economy because of kids. 2 small, innocent and well behaved kids. Good thing I didn't show up there, would have been a nightmare.

So Beautiful!!! My family and I stayed at the Thornapple River Campground for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the cabin wich included a kitchen(gas stove, microwave, fridge), den (futon and tv),bathroom with a shower, 2 bedrooms double beds. The campground was well maintained and offered vollyball, football, basketball, and teatherball. There is an old fashioned merry-go-round and swings. My 5yr old loved them! Of course it is right on the beautiful river that looks like rootbeer (from the iron). Fishing was fun and when we didn't catch our dinner, town was very close. We plan on staying longer next summer!
