Came in slightly into off-season needing one-night stop with mini RV. Staff were all very nice - promised a spot on phone without taking credit card yet. Located way out in the country with beautiful views, pretty little lake, shade trees, very charming. Entrance lane is challenging after dark! Bathrooms and showers however are like a horror from summer camp! Use you own vehicle’s facilities! Would definitely go here again, in summer, arriving in daylight, with empty holding tank.
Green Acres Family Campground is a beautiful site. There are lots of permanent campers there, looks like some residential but walking around it was just beautiful. Our family of 3 broke down towing our trailer to the OBX and we were able to get the trailer towed here for a couple of nights while our truck was repaired. Morgan in the office is awesome! So sweet and very accommodating! Jessie was a huge help when we were being pulled in in the dark. Sure it could use some updating but it worked for us! Oh and the campground cat was adorable! Thank you so much!
This was the worst campground we have been to yet. I would rate zero if it was available. The camper spots were terrible. Wash outs, naked wires, just dirty. The pond was so grown up that my family couldn’t fish, the game room was only 1 game working that provided tickets for children to get prizes The pools were cloudy and bleach smelling not chlorine The staff at the store was rude and acted as if they prefer not to answer questions. I could go on and on. Never would I suggest it to anyone nor return. Not sure how the rating is 4.5
What a cute little family campground. Not too big or so small that there isn't anything to do. Lots of activities on the weekends. Pond is super low but that will be remedied soon. They also have TWO pools. We would like to make this place our yearly family get together. Thanks for a great time.
we just got a permanent site and we never even have to worry about our camper being messed with...lots to do all year. we r very happy to have our camper there. Dog-friendliness: have seen people walking there dogs and they all clean up behind them...makes it a much nicer place to b...thanks neighbors.
We visited a couple of times with family, then decided to apply for membership. Love it out here. Quiet, fun, relaxing. They have 2 pools, fishing, paddle boats/canoes, putt-putt golf, basketball court, tennis court, camping and so much more. The staff is so friendly and make you feel right at home. Cherry on top, the membership fee is SO reasonable for the whole year! It's only $225 for a family of 5! If you want family fun, head to Green Acres!
Camping sites are very uneven. The water spigot was in a very awkward place and had to be shared with the neighbor. There was exposed electrical wiring throughout the park. The bathrooms are very outdated. We visited on Easter weekend and thought there would be more actual campers than we saw but it seems there was alot of permanent/year round campers.
Most of camp sites are campers with permanent setups. Site that are available are not level, water pressure is less than 25 psi. Very narrow streets. Only thing good its very quiet.
Very family oriented good amenities friendly staff and management. Everything a family will want to do mini golf 9 hole course play grounds and two pools with child's pool
we love it, we generally come 4-5 times a year. Our grandchildren come with us and make friends quickly, plus they enjoy the 2 pools. My husband and grandchildren love fishing. we like that there is always activities the other campers are returnees and are as friendly as the owners. It's not a fancy place but it feels more like I'm camping not staying at a Hilton
