This N That Thrift Store Vancouver Plaza

I made the mistake of walking into this business that is run by Clark County Christian Center. These people aren’t Christians. They are however condescending and judgmental. I was looking for a specific item, and was told “ it’s back with the car stuff”. I went back and dug through the junk and found what I was after. A foil metallic windshield screen. It was rough, but I was going to cut it up anyway. It was marked$1.99. I had $2 cash and no way was going to use my debit card. I told this to the cashier who finally let her name out as Dana, and she said come back when you’ve got enough money. Really! I had change in the car, but no way was I going to put up with her attitude. I asked for the owners name and she said” look it up on google”. I did lose my temper, and she told me to leave I was no longer welcome. Very Christian. She just kept yapping. It took quite awhile to find the owner of the store. He didn’t answer. I tried later, but to no avail. I haven’t had a return call, so my only recourse is to use social media to let people know that they take your donations and try to make profits of mostly poor people. Sounds just like a Christian!

If I think something sucks I'm going to say so. But, I give credit where credit is due, as well. I don't follow the status quo simply because every one else does. I've seen some rough and unreasonable criticisms posted on Google about this business. I consider many of these reviews unwarranted and erroneous at best. My wife and I came across this store a few months ago. We've been there three times and purchased something each time we've patronized this store. We seldom give a perfect rating. But, in this case, we'll give one simply because this particular thrift store is not only a thrift, but a Godly ministry which does things a bit differently than others in my experience. So, when I got in there with my family I not only have a pleasant and fruitful shopping experience I have the opportunity to fellowship with Eric and his wife, time permitting. Given what they, are a few items may be over priced. But better pricing practices will come in time as the business grows. It's to be expected in this type of business. And, ya have to start somewhere. I highly suspect, however, that if I want something badly enough to approach the management team I'll approach them and make an offer. They're reasonable enough to know whether I'm making a reasonable offer. If we come to terms, I'll walk out the door with that item. In today's world, too many people want something for nothing. I typically know a good deal when I see it, and if I'm unsure I'll research it. I won't complain. I'll do something about it.

I have to agree with a lot of the others that were unsatisfied with this store. And Christian ran?? Well what a judgmental bunch... I saw a lot of those concerns on this site as factual and very disgusted that the owner of this store portrays her self as a Christian. Open the bible lady and read of what a true Christian is cause you've seriously got a long way to go... I would recommend retails or one of our better thrift stores cause believe me and others this isn't it!

Good stuff. Good employees. Good prices. I'm hoping someday it will have as good a selection as the former value village. It has a plenty of space, and seems to be growing.

nothing but junk just about my friend brought something form heare last summer and ended up with bed bugs the hole family was covered in bits and it took weeks to know what it was
