I thought I would check out this bar since the previous establishment I liked was shut down. This was unfortunate as I did like it but new opportunities heh! Next door to this bar is Earls, now while I like their food, I try to support new local business. I noted a prior reviewer indicating the Thirsty atmosphere is bland-it is true! I'm thinking that this may change in the future, I hope so. Their bathroom had more bar ambience see pics Service was great. The staff were friendly Angelica and Maddy and on top of keeping their customers happy. I ordered the $10.00 Monday Weekly Feature Fish and Chips. The fish was cod and it wasn't over battered or over cooked. The chips were equally as good. They have events on Wed trivia night and live entertainment on Saturdays. I can't speak to either evenings as I have not attended. With checking out and good luck to the local owner.
Thirsty Rooster is a pub located in St. Albert and today we visited them for the first time to try some of their old and new menu items! Here’s what we ordered: - smokehouse platter brisket, sausage links, jalapeño cornbread, Mac & cheese, roasted brussels, and purple cabbage slaw - birria style brisket street tacos with cotija cheese, pico de gallo and cilantro lime crema - chili lime prawn rice bowl with pineapple salsa, chili spiced black beans, and cilantro crema - house churros with salted caramel dip, chocolate ganache and vanilla ice cream For drinks we got the polar park pink panther raspberry witbier and the cappachini cocktail - both were tasty and refreshing Safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal and look forward to returning again soon! These guys recently introduced a new lunch and brunch menu so I would definitely recommend checking it out as there’s something for everyone
Good service. Reasonable priced for the quality. Decent selection of craft beers. The day we were there, they were short on a few menu items. No big deal. I will return.

Came here for my birthday and had a lovely time! Everyone loved their food, and the staff was very kind. Would definitely recommend!
We love this local pub. We go weekly. Crowd is diverse, and they have live music some Saturdays which is great. Friendly atmosphere where servers remember your face and drink order. Food overall is good. Smoked meat is awesome. Recommend the nachos with brisket for appie. They are still a work in progress but very open to customer feedback.
Always good food, cold beer, smiling faces and a good guitarist. Give the burger a try- the best around. **edit** To the reviewer who had the HH chicken sandwich and brisket sandwich- this was our experience. Give them another go- our experience was waaaay different than yours. Meaty, crunchy, tasty. Definitely awesome.
Rarely do I find a "bar" that surprises me. Not so the case here. We had our first experience today with their menu and my compliments to the chef - it was very good. Unlike most big chain or franchises, this place provides a local and distinctive flavors, both in the food they serve and spirits - coloured by local artists, in both art and music. Yes, it receives a full star for bring a smoke house but they are not defined by this. With rich and uniquing tasting entries, it will leave you to come back again. In our case, we'll be back to try the supper lunch next time.
Compliments to the chef! A friend recommended this new restaurant in town to us. We ordered dinner tonight to be delivered by Skip. The food arrived quickly and was hot! I’ve never had smoked wings and they were soooooo delicious with the orange bbq sauce. The 1lb of wings was plenty for the two of us. The yummy, crispy onion rings are the best I’ve ever tasted. A very pleasant surprise to receive a complimentary dessert. We’ll be ordering again
I only gave it 4 stars because i am still waiting on that illusive 5 star eperience. Maybe i am dreaming. Tgis was as close to if not 5 star. Yum!. I love a chicken sandwich but struggle because a lot of times they are dry, hard, no real flavor or all of the above. This was by far the best chicken sandwich. So moist, and so much flavor. The menu says hot but it's just a bit of a kick not hot sauce hot. My partner had the brisket sandwich and although it was excellent the chicken sandwich was the clear winner. Honorable mention to the fries which were also outstanding. We were lucky enough to have a coupon for a free lunch but we will certainly be back!!! Likely this weekend for the chicken and waffles. Great service, great food
