Story

Here at Third Coast Breakfast is served all Day featuring Indiana Cage Free Eggs. At Third Coast, we don’t leave anyone out. There is something for Vegans, Vegetarians, Meat Lovers, Tree Huggers, Gluten sensitive people, people with allergies, and hungry kids. Third Coast cares about the planet and shows it by purchasing biodegradable disposables that are made from renewable resources. We buy organics whenever possible and use locally grown cage free eggs, produce, bison, fruit, honey and whatever else we can get our hands on. Try our specialty griddle sandwiches or our build your own omelets.
Our eclectic menu features Award winning chili, Black bean Burritos and a Portobello mushroom Sandwich. Try our decadent desserts, organic fair trade coffee, specialty lattes and drinks and our unique griddle sandwiches. Third Coast Spice Café is a one of a kind café with a conscience.

My husband and I visited this establishment for the first time yesterday. This. Place. Has. Amazing. Food! Wow! My husband had the raspberry cheesecake French toast, curried tofu scramble, and Wild Cherry Cranberry smoothie,  and I had the Popeye Hash(minus the eggs) with homemade whole grain bread and freshly-squeezed orange juice. Everything was truly phenomenal, and we highly recommend all of these items. 

The service was excellent(our server was Tyler), the atmosphere cheery and family-friendly(they have a toy corner for children!), and they were playing great music(U2 was on when we got there😍😁), but to be honest, the food was so good, it could have been served to us in a stuffy dungeon run by creepy monsters and we'd still return. Even so, the service/atmosphere was a much appreciated added bonus. 

To top off our wonderful experience, we won a 'random act of kindness' drawing, and our total bill was on the house! How flipping awesome is that? We will definitely stop here anytime we are Chicago-bound, and will tell everyone we know to do the same! Thanks again for breakfast and for being awesome, Third Coast Spice Cafe!

I'm going to rave about this place. First off, there's a big car park, so parking is a breeze! Next, the interior boasts a fun style which ties vintage charm to the welcoming of innovation in food. You can dine in or order at the counter. There is a well planned table arrangement with lots of booths and tables even if you come with a big group they'd be able to accommodate. The menu has lots of options and takes into consideration many dietary restriction. They offer gluten free & vegan. When asked about a certain ingredient often used in almond milk, my server was happy to check. (Almond milk here is free of carrageenan!) The food was delicious. If I have to make one criticism it would be that I was surprised to find processed salt on the table!

The atmosphere is amazing! We loved the kids corner for our 3 year old. He was entertained and well fed. The coffee was so tasty and gave us they extra boost we needed for our 4 hour drive.

Delicious fresh breakfast!  The best hash browns I have ever eaten - made fresh from real potatoes. Light and crispy, not a soggy patty of mystery carbs.  Wonderful house omelette with caramelized onions, bacon, tomato, real cheddar cheese and avocado.  A find!

Had bowl of chili and 1/2 sandwich. Fantastic! Great taste, good portions. One of the few good cafés in the North I've eaten at.
