ThimbleCakes is a nut-free, egg-free, organic bakery!

Story

We are happy to offer a nut- and egg-free environment, filled with dairy-free, and gluten-free cupcakes, cakes and ice creams on a daily basis! We cater to all allergies and are happy to make you cakes and cupcakes that suit your needs! We buy local and organic as much as possible, compost, recycle and use environmentally friendly papers and cleaning products. Proudest of all, we do this without sacrificing quality, deliciousness or customer service. We truly hope you love our cakes!

ThimbleCakes offers organic and fair trade coffees and teas to accompany our delicious cupcakes in a vintage cafe setting. Our cupcakes have many organic ingredients and we also offer the best cold glass of organic milk. Our organic hot chocolate mix and chai latte syrup is made in house as is our delicious homemade ice cream. We also offer special occasion cakes, birthday cakes and wedding cakes.

We booked with ThimbleCakes for our Sept 25th wedding and we were not disappointed! We needed a cake that was peanut-free my husband is highly allergic, and we knew we could trust ThimbleCakes. The booking process was super easy, and we loved that we got to try samples before we ordered! We ordered a small tiered cake as well as cupcakes of the same flavour so our guests could easily grab a taste throughout the evening. ThimbleCakes delivered right to our reception room and set up everything beautifully. Of course the cake was DELICIOUS - we can't wait to have our frozen top layer on our anniversary just to taste it again!
Best cupcakes I had in my life. Period. Frosting is creamy, without being over sweet. Cake is crazy moist and so much flavor. Coconut milk ice cream is so smooth and unctuous. The bill was very high but you get what you pay for.
I ordered the Candy Cake for my fiancee's birthday and she loved it! First of all, look at that masterpiece, gorgeous! On top of that it was absolutely delicious! Everything from the order placement to the delivery was top notch. Honestly If i could give more than 5 stars I would. Great job!
Went on a hunt for the best red velvet cupcake in Ottawa. A reddit post reccomended ThimbleCakes. What a great reccomendation it was! For six cupcakes theres no tax and thr price is under 25. The cupcakes itself are nice dense/moist cakes with great frosting. Red velvet is delightful. The cookie dough ones frosting is little grainy and great nontheless.
Delicious treats here. I've had a number of their Cupcakes, the pumpkin scone, chocolate chip cookie, and the chocolate Brownie, and they're amazing. Obviously more expensive than a grocery store or bigger retail chain, but they are nut free, vegan, and some items are gluten free, so it's worth it if you fall into those categories.
Our favorite place for dairy-free treats and cakes! Birthday cake here is AMAZING!! As are the coconut ice cream sandwiches! Not cheap, but highly addictive! I like to celebrate my birthday every month
Vegan ice cream heaven! Probably the most delicious vegan ice cream I've ever had. Correction, the most delicious ice cream I've ever had period. It was hard to choose a flavour since they all tasted and looked so, so good. As the name suggests, they also have a large variety of beautifully decorated cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more. The place itself is quaint but is uniquely and mindfully decorated. Shout-out to the ladies behind the counter who provided exceptional customer service. Can't wait to come back and try some more yummy treats.
Where to start! I've been a loyal customer for 5 years. I am no longer vegan but I still go to Thimble Cakes regularly. I get all birthday and special occasion cakes from here. The owner Wendy is really nice. The designer Alexis is a god send. She's fantastic!!!! I have friends who got their wedding cake here and are so happy. I plan to get mine here. The food is so clean and lightweight compared to other places and free of all those bad ingrediants. I love thimble cakes. It's a huge part of what makes Ottawa my community and home. There are seasonal features that are always fresh and new and exciting. It's lovely. Photos don't do it justice. Absolutely go to Thimble cakes!!!!!!!
