A little pricy for what it is, the burger here was not bad but not great either. I liked the toppings that they had in the burger, but the patty honestly wasn’t that very good and a tad overdone. Their menu is quite limited, so I kind of expected the items that they did have to be really good. But my own expectations are to blame in this case, overall not bad. The decor is nice and I like the style of the restaurant.
The worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the Vegan Cobb salad and subbed the vegan cheese for cheddar. The server asked how I liked it and told her the truth, it was terrible. She said the manager would come talk to me and he never showed. They didn't take it off the bill maybe because I ate most of it? I was starving, and I just wanted to get some veggies. Canned mushrooms, canned chickpeas, mangled Avocado, dirty plate, dreched in water.
Dined here once for lunch, and once for dinner. Had an absolutely incredible short rib dish here at $38. But there is so much wrong; cocktails are incredibly weak, service is friendly but a bit of a disaster, waited 30 minutes for fries and there’s one bathroom - two if you head into the kitchen. Not a bad spot but could be better!
Quite disappointed with the quality to cost ratio. The duck was over cooked, almost burnt, 10oz steak looked more like 4oz, not impressed at all. Would highly recommend going anywhere else if you're looking for food. Service was excellent however, and the ambiance seemed fitting. May be a nice apre ski bottle of wine and an appy place.
The server was lovely and really raised the experience but the food was mediocre and didn't deserve the high price. I had the burger and I have honestly had burgers that tasted better att McDonalds. With that said the quality of the ingredients where very good so it has a lot of potential, they just need to season the food more properly and perhaps ad another for of sauce than what was on. Overall i'd probably give it a a 3.6 but as that not an option i'll give it a 4 Vegetarian options: Not very vegetarian friendly
Server was lovley but that’s about it . Took forever to get the food. Which was actually a good thing as it wasn’t that great when it finally arrived . $32 for what was supposed to be a double brandy , and it was not even one finger. Octopus was over cooked . Creme brûlée was curdled . Two of the very few vegetarian choices were not available and had been subbed with a burger “ to make up for it “ in the servers words . We were a party of 6 and only 2 people were happy with their meal.. server took a few of the drinks off our bill and didn’t charge us for the creme brûlée . But still , All in all an overpriced terrible experience .
From what I’ve heard this restaurant has had a lot of change over the years. But our dinner last night exceeded expectations! We had delicious cocktails, oysters, cod and coq au vin. Plus lava cake for dessert. The food was really tasty. And Yara provided excellent service. The Woods is a must try in Big White!
Had a great lunch. Enjoyed the updated menu. Had the gnocchi with buttermilk chicken on top. It was tasty and very cheesy. The selection of bc beer on tap was decent. I really like the Ghost ship IPA.
Great place for food and drinks while skiing. You can sit in the lounge or a very cozy bar, or outside by the fire pit. Great selection of very good food and drinks. Gets quite busy during peak lunch but well worth the wait for few minutes to get a table. Staff is very very nice and friendly. Like to have fun and clearly enjoy their jobs.
After an epic day of riding the bike park we stopped there for dinner. The food was great I ordered the biggest hot dog you've ever seen and it was so delicious. The staff is super friendly and they have a great cocktail list. Highly recommend it you can go up anytime and just grab food and drinks. Super chill Lounge spot we have the best day.
