Grizzly Bear Bistro & Bar

Stopped in for an early supper on a Sunday. Service was quick. Ordered the Cheeseburger and beer special for $19. The burger was tasty, fries nothing special and a smallish amount in a wire basket. My friend had the chicken burger and it too was good but nothing to rave about for the price point.

I love a good mac n cheese. If you do as well I wouldn't order it here. It seemed to have some other type of pasta sauce, couldn't taste any cheese, was absolute mush. The flavour and texture were just odd. Maybe they had an off night. I was very disappointed to pay nearly $20 for something I just couldn't eat.

We stopped by for appy's wings, ribs, and Chile Con Queso and beer. Typical pub food. The service was good. I think my rating would be higher if I was patronizing the establishment when there's live entertainment appears to be on weekends only, unfortunately this wasn't the case and I found the place lack lustre.

Bugs in drink !!!! Ordered a drink for my little brother and it came with 3 small bugs in it, see attached photo. Waitress didn't even apologize, she just said "oh" and took the drink for replacement. The breading around the fried food would fall instantly upon touching exposing the inner part of the meat with no seasoning. The worst fried food I've ever had. I did not even finish my burger because of the half hearted effort that went into the preparation of the food. Overpriced, not sanitary and would not visit again.

Pleasantly surprised, despite the other great reviews, I had low expectations for a strip mall burger joint. It’s not a burger joint. The beer choices were noble. I had their rotating tap: Granville’s Hazy IPA. It’s very good. The menu was large but not intimidating. We ordered wings among best I’ve had, fish and chips generous and not greasy, Mac and cheese pretty fail safe, and a salmon burger that exceeded my expectations! It will be my go-to when I’m at the Four Points.

Good food. Love the burgers. It's kinda far away from everything, being out by the airport, but there are people that live out that way, plus the traffic from the airport. Located across hwy97 in the mall, you can't miss it. Nice restaurant. Clean and tidy. Bathroom is clean. Free parking. Website is online and available to look at for more info. Staff were friendly. No complaints.

The cook was knocking out great looking food all by himself and it was quick. The ONE server that was on was very nice and polite. However, the “Gourmet Mac/Cheese” is noodles, butter, pepper and a sprinkle of non-melted cheddar for big bucks. The fries are loaded with pepper. The burgers look gorgeous but lack any seasoning. The club sandwich was beyond plain with no condiments on it dry. Extremely over priced for very bland and boring food. Would be an awesome spot but the food needs some major upgrades proper seasoning. The look of the menu and food is awesome but when you can’t finish any item because of taste it’s very disappointing. Over priced for bland, tasteless food. Also, TURN DOWN THE MUSIC! In an echoey, open location music should be in the background, not drowning out people across from you. If my 3 year old who IS chaos goes “too loud” you know it must be.

New review: We order here food for pickup and it was delicious as always. Food was ready to go when they told me it would be done. Highly recommend going here when you’re in the area! Old review: What a great place! Love the atmosphere and all the decor. Service was excellent, our server was super out going and professional. Food was really tasty. Burgers were massive and tasted really good. The fries were some of the best I’ve had for a very long time, they were seasoned well and crispy! Overall, a great place to get tasty food, you won’t be disappointed!

Staff were very nice and polite. Prices were reasonable, service was quick. Unfortunately the burger patties were bland, fries were salty, prawns were overcooked. Calamari was pale and all clumped together and the tzatziki tasted off, like fermented.

Was literally thee worst experience dining in tonight. The waitress was all over the place, there was only 3 tables of people in the whole place. She came back to ask what our order was again 20 mins after she took our order originally because she “forgot”. Over priced food, the Mac n cheese was super mushy and gross and the pulled pork was 99% fat, and the perogie bowl comes with 6 perogies for $18. Just save your time and go somewhere else, this place is a joke.
