My wife and I had the fish and chips take-out from The Vault Bistro last night and it was the best fish and chips we've had in a long time! I heard on the CFRA morning show that this dish was good so we had to try it. It certainly did not disappoint!
The food is delicious...especially the tuna tacos!! And the service is friendly and fast
The restaurant building is lovely, and while the food wasn't bad per se, it also wasn't good. Fries are frozen fries, and most ingredients come out of a bag. For the price point and with Black Dog next door, I'd expect better fresh-made options.
Nice patio and friendly service. Charcuterie board was a hit. It says it serves 4 but that might be a bit of a stretch. Certainly it works as a meal for 2. Beer selection was a bit slight. So, on the whole, perfectly fine for what we were looking for, but I would want to try out the neighbouring places next time.
Our dinner was a disappointment. Burnt hamburger, thin and burnt fries. Churros was burned. We should have gone to BlackDog, going ahead, cheaper and much more enjoyable.
