I bought two burgers because 1/4 pound patty is not enough for a grown man. The first had the option of bacon, ham or both and I ordered both. It came with lettuce and mayonnaise on top and pickles and tomato on the bottom. Usually it’s either or but they chose to surround my burger/pork with vegetables. As a result, with the pork and burger being so minimal, all I could taste was the vegetables. The bun was a typical sesame bun big enough to overwhelm the meat and almost overwhelm the vegetables. It was work to get through. Then I had to eat the second one. Same but blue cheese. I rarely eat out and regret choosing this place. Also if you want decent service don’t sit at the bar. Everyone else got water right away and didn’t have to flag someone down to place an order. The beer, although on tap was very bitter at first and then flat. I wasn’t asked “how is everything” until I was done and that’s probably for the best because I’m an honest person.
We had a wonderful lunch. I hadn't been here in years. Top notch staff and lunch was as good as I remembered it to be.
Didn't have a lot of expectations coming here. But both my wife and my sister-in-law and brother have been here and had said that it was really good. We decided to stop here on our way back from Spokane and it was late on a Saturday so I didn't expect to be able to get in. We were very lucky and caught a clean table just as a couple was leaving. Very busy and upbeat atmosphere. Seemed to be a very popular place for both college kids and young adults. So anyway, we decided to get some wings which were very crunchy and juicy and tender on the inside. We then ordered burgers. My sister got a mushroom burger that was really good She said. My brother and I both got the bacon super mother burgers. They were delicious. I'm just sorry I didn't take pictures. They were excellent and the shoestring fries were just right. Coupled with a couple of beers it was a very satisfying evening. Definitely will be back.
I can't say enough great things. The foods great. The waitresses and friendly and tonight there's probably close to 50 people and 1 waitress and she's been by to fill my drink or ask how I'm doing no less then 5 times. Everyone was happy and had a drink ir food. 2nd time here and will definitely be back!
Food is great and good selection of beer on tap. There is outside seating, but we had flies bugging us. Waitress did a great job checking in and giving us space. I've been going here for years and the service and menu has stayed great.
The food was so-so at best. The service was very good and they were extremely helpful and friendly. I gave it 3 stars because of the service. If the service was not good, it would be a 1 and done. However, I am willing to give it another shot because the kitchen may have had a bad day. For the price of the food and the small amount that you received, a bad day better be few and far between! Just saying.
Been consistently excellent food and service for many years! Staff is always friendly and service they are on top of making your visit enjoyable!
Small town feeling bar in a college town. Bartender say hi to many customers by name. Enjoy large menu and large selection of beer.
We always have a great experience at the Tav! Awesome burgers and cocktails. They have the best fry sauce in town!
Great burgers... although they don't come with a side of fries, which is odd...but other than that, super nice people work here an food is good
