The Tap House West End

Started off great - out with friends and the beer was good! But we didn’t know which beer was which on our flight. When ordering food - the server seemed like he understood but wasn’t real sure. When our food came out, it was ALL wrong. My “buffalo chicken wrap” - had NO buffalo sauce on it. Friend #1 - had a crispy chicken sandwich menu said nothing about cheese on it - came out with cheese on it. Friend #2 - ordered a crispy chicken ranch wrap - came out as a crispy bacon chicken sandwich. Informed them it wasn’t right, took it back. Waiting 5-7 minutes and food came back out, IT WAS THE SAME FOOD they previously brought out to us. My “buffalo chicken” - all they did was squirt buffalo sauce on the top - they didn’t even replace the ranch I USED earlier to eat my onion rings with - GROSS! Friend #1 - they literally SCRAPED the cheese off and flipped the chicken over you could still see the cheese on the bun! Friend #2 - they literally cut up the sandwich and put it in a wrap. There was flies everywhere and really annoying. When the server went to refill my water, he LITERALLY took a water glass off the tray that was being brought to ANOTHER table! Our server hardly came over to check on us. Sad that this placed looked great but won’t be coming back!

It’s hard to find a place with 100 high-quality local tap beers. They seem to be frequently rotated as well. Experienced great service and would definitely like a location in the Woodbury, Stillwater & Hudson area!

Great ambiance. Beautiful decorations. Booth dining comfortable and quiet. Great service. Old Fashioned was very good. You should go!

Yo this place slaps! If you’re looking for a cool trendy craft beer bar with great food, atmosphere, and staff, come come out tap house west end! This is their second location here in Rochester and I might have to say I like this location better… Super hard to say as the downtown spot is beyond legit with a rooftop. However, the patio here is so hard to beat!Everything is always spot on at either location. Tacos and tachos are the go to’s but honestly everything is good. Great place to meet up or host a small gathering. They’re always rocking the best beer in MN and snagging some of the top beers throughout the country with 100 taps!

My friend Marcia & I love the Tap House West End! Most recently, Paul the Bartender greeted us like we were royalty! Paul brought us our favorite beverages right away! Love the Chicken Quesdilla plus the fish tacos! So many exciting tasty choices to experience. Thanks so much Paul!!! Your excellent customer service is Golden just the the Minnesota Gold Beer! GREAT place to take family & friends always!

Tap house is a great place for both lunch and dinner. I show up most every Tuesday for the tacos special although they’ve got some pretty great salads too. Often times will be other real estate agents or loan officers for a late lunch. They have over 100 options of brews to try and their food menu is on point as well. They also have a back patio that allows dogs, I bring mine there in the warmer months.

The food was decent, prices were a bit high. The appetizer was the best part of the meal, we enjoyed the chicken quesadilla, the chicken was well seasoned I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, and my husband had the “best damn roast beef sandwich”- it was just a Philly and not well flavored. The crispy chicken sandwich didn’t have a lot of flavor either. Overall we probably will not be going there again.

A hip new joint from an already established name in Rochester. Plenty of of space for any number of people you bring. Great atmosphere and upbeat music. Food was hot and professionally made, clean and looked like a menu picture. Beer was cold and tasty, with a variety from many states, about 100 different beers on tap. Busy and fast but you still get what you order in a timely manner. Come here if you want to expand your beer profile, and if you like southwest inspired food.

Went for dinner and it was really busy, but the way was 20 mins so not bad at all!! It was a beautiful night, so we can wait outside. It only took 15 mins for us to be seated. My wife and I had a lot of things to talk over so we just started with drinks. Our waiter was awesome and very patient on getting our food order, but did continued to stop by and check in on us. Our food arrived and it was delicious! I wanted something on the smaller side so I got the Steak Quesadilla. About half way through the meal, I found a foreign object in the middle of the steak & cheese. Nothing gross, but something commonly found in the kitchen atmosphere that must have fallen and got mixed in. It was brought to our waiter’s attention and he began apologizing. They offered a complete new meal, but I denied the need for a fresh meal as the object wasn’t anything gross like hair, or a bandaid, or anything of that nature; but simply something that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Things happen, no big deal. Our waiter took the object to the manager and the kitchen. The cook and the manager both came out and apologized. The issue was MORE than remedied on the back end of our visit and they were truly sorry. We had been here a couple of times previously and have NEVER had any issues and the food and drinks are always on par. The drink menu is endless and there’s always something new to try. It’s a great place for a quaint romantic dinner ask for the circle booths or a great get together with friends. With the mishap, normally would be a 1-2 star review but their customer service recovery & reconciliation was above and beyond. 5 starts maintained.
