The Stihl Whiskey Bar

Such a cool spot! Feels like you’re in a speakeasy. Excellent food and drinks! We got the ahi nachos and burger with tots and both were amazing. For drinks we had the bourbon lemonade pretty good, an old fashioned and Aztec Chocolate Old Fashioned for dessert delicious!. They have old cocktails, liquors, wine and beer too.

Always a great stop. Always busy but not Bend busy. Just sneak in don't tell anyone about it and let's keep enjoying this Gem.

Came because of the owners amazing responses to the 1 star reviews, left loving this place lol. The bartender is awesome, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail of this place. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is very chill. Definitely going to make this a regular spot now whenever we are traveling through Bend. Disregard any of the negative stuff... oh and always tip your bartender!!

The porkchop was salty! I eat salty food but this tasted like I was eating salt. I was really looking forward to visit this place because my coworkers recommended that they have good food. I left disappointed. The cocktail drink was great though.

BEST FOOD & ATMOSPHERE IN BEND! The GM Davidson hired a new chef and turned this spot from one of my favorite places to get a great scotch to now a favorite cozy food spot to compliment the best whiskey selection in town. Order the chef's daily specials, you're welcome.

Not only for whiskey lovers! I am not a big whiskey guy but... I’ve tried the ginger cube whiskey they have there... loved it! Also had a great chicken soup coconut milk based - WOW I didn’t expect that to be so good! Also, Chelsea was so helpful with recommendations which make the entire experience even better! I really enjoyed the Stihl Whiskey bar with cool posh atmosphere and crowded fun environment. Lots of different whiskeys and signature cocktails with beer and wine too. A full menu offered with upscale pub fare and nicer meals as well. Great place for after work drinks or date nights, I wouldn't bring family here but I think its allowed. Service was friendly and knowledgable, however they seemed understaffed. Very busy environment that seemed to have people missing for efficient service. I will definitely return here for a nice drink or cocktail, hopefully they can get some more help.

Poor selection of whiskeys and way overpriced for the ones they do have. There are several whiskeys that I know you can walk in any liquor store and find in town here that they are consistently out of and yet still have them on the menu… past several times I’ve picked out 3-4 choices before finding stuff they have. I get supply chain issues but these are bottles in stock anywhere else in town and for a whiskey specific bar it’s crazy that other non whiskey bars have more of a selection. The overpriced part was wanting to order weller full proof and finding out it was $80 for a pour, for reference I just had this elsewhere in town for $22 a pour so that’s a bit insane especially since it was crossed off for it’s old price of $35 on their menu. I asked about another whiskey and the bartender told me no one has that whiskey in town in a rude tone, which is a bit insane because they have a few bottles no one else has in town like pappy van winkle so my question really wasn’t that crazy. Upon reading reviews I have seen many others complaining about a male bartender who we also had a horrible experience with and some of these are a year old, so it’s a bit crazy they still employ this guy who has no business doing this job harassing people for no good reason, if you don’t believe me check out reviews for here on yelp. We have had amazing service here from most of the female workers here who have gone above and beyond for us but this last time getting ignored by a bartender for no reason ruined my dinner for me. I hate to leave this review but like I said poor selection and really inflated prices. Save yourself some money and go to any other bar in town you will definitely save money even if you chose a fancier place.

TL/DR: Be kind, be patient, get the shishito peppers and Lysol. All of Bend is understaffed right now 8/2022, so be kind to those that work hard for your dining/drinking pleasure. Go to the bar for service if it seems slow. Drinks, food, people and atmosphere are great. Shout out to Davidson for running such a good ship—and I don’t know the guy, I’m just a tourist wanting good drink. And I got it.
