We made a last-minute decision to eat here on a Saturday night and were lucky to get a spot by the window excellent for people watching so if you have your heart set on eating here, make a reservation!nThe tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium rare and so were the shrimp in the linguini dish. We also tried the beef carpaccio and a few of their seasonal cocktails.nnThe honey margarita was amazing and we can’t wait to go back to sample some of their other dishes and cocktails.nnThe atmosphere in the restaurant was intimate and cozy, relatively quiet low music and a chill vibe. Our server and the other staff we interacted with were all very polite and pleasant. Great place!
Oh what a fresh breath of delight in a hazy fog of triviality. For a moment I felt like I was in Paris again. The charm, the friendly atmosphere, and the energy booming from the kitchen. From where I sat I could see the passionate chefs putting their final touches of excellence to the plates and I was thrilled to find a place marked by passion! I will surely come back here as often as I possibly can.
Absolutely delightful! We love The Sterling for all of the things; local girls nights, family birthdays, anniversary celebrations and date night with my husband. It checks all of the boxes for me; lovely Cabernet Sauvignon wine selections and seasonal cocktails Lars Lemonade is a must try, as well as mouthwatering fresh fruit/veggies to top the plates. My husband is always impressed with the tasty beef and beer options and never leaves hungry.nIt is also my favourite spot to invite my out of town friends when they visit because whether they are from California or Calgary - they are always impressed.nApart from all of the favourable food, atmosphere and service, my favourite part is I never feel rushed, which makes for a really remarkable dining experience!
Daytrip to Almonte from Ottawa. We didn't have a reservation, but there was a spot out in the back patio/garden. Very cool vibe outside. The service was excellent; she kept us informed along the way regarding wait times. We both had the steak frites. We asked for the chimichurri on the side vs. on the steak, which we were glad we did because it wasn't the best. The fries were way overdone, but we mentioned it to the server and she was happy to offer a replacement and a slice of carrot cake to go since we were both full. The steak was ok, medium rare, not a standout. I think I'd only come back here for the garden ambiance and some cocktails/wine.
Went for Sunday BrunchnKids were super happy with French toast. I tried and agree very good.nMy wife impressed with little details like bathroom hand soap.nWe ate chicken and waffles, very good.nPatio is unique and fun. Airstream camper seating is fun. Plants everywhere, nice decor, speakers. Very nice atmosphere
