This place was really cute! The turkey croissant sandwich was awesome, Chai Latte was great. Lots of little local goodies for sale inside as well. Comfy chairs to sit on. Patio out front AND out back for those nicer days.Food: 5/5
Fantastic lattes and fantastic quiche! I am trying new flavours and love it!! They even have a wheel if you don’t know what flavour to take! Staff is always super welcoming and they look like they are happy to be there! Always an amazing experience. Not sure why I never made a review :
It's true! Great little coffee shop in downtown Brooks, easy access from the highway, street parking. Excellent coffee, amazing treats. The quiche was the best I've ever had. The cruffin looks enticing but I'm saving it for later. Friendly folk, great gifts too. Thank you all!
My favourite little coffee shop! Such a comforting atmosphere with friendly staff. The coffee is perfect but the large range of tea and alternative latte options is extraordinary and are some of my favourite drinks. While you’re there check out the local art and creations that are for sale. Such a cute place with an owner who really cares.
Just grabbed some coffees here while we were passing through Brooks and this is a really nice quaint cafe. They also sell some handmade items made by local businesses. Will definitely visit again!
This is a proudly local shop with ever-friendly and pleasant team. If you are new to Brooks like I am, this is a highly recommended place for a steaming cup of coffee, tea and several other lovely brew. While at it, you may want to get some of the locally-crafted and beautiful gifts. Overall, "The Steaming Cup" is a cozy and welcoming place with excellent products and equally amazing service.
What a cute little spot! I ordered a breakfast croissant and a frappe plus a cruffin for later on. The baked goods were epic and I loved the seed mixture in/on top. Didn't enjoy the frappe, found it a little dry but maybe it was an off day. I also really liked the selection of local artisan gifts that the shop offered. I'll definitely swing by next time I'm going through Brooks.
I went to meet up with a friend who recommended The Steaming Cup, for breakfast- I got their crossiant breakfast sandwich heated up and my friend opted for their quiches! We both got a chocolate chip cookie, and I ordered a salted caramel elixir with oat milk! The crossiant was flavored beautifully, and the cheese was super melty and perfect- The quiches are super fresh tasting and make for a good lighter breakfast imo. The cookies can be enjoyed by themselves, or dunked into your drink- and I definitely love the elixir drinks. I think the idea is super fun and creative! I'll absolutely be returning, I have a new favorite café! Thank you all for wonderful service & wonderful food! I know locals likely already know about this little gem, but as someone who recently moved, I 100% recommend checking it out!
It was good, just very expensive. I got a small caramel macchiato and paid $6.25. I’m assuming they raise prices in summer as most small local coffee shops do. I also paid extra for alternative milk but my drink was made with regular milk. That was kind of a bummer. Update: I went in again to give them another shot and the coffee was still really good, made with the right milk this time so that was perfect. I didn’t talk to the owner but the staff was very friendly, and I appreciate the owners offer to make my previous experience right. It’s nice to see that they support local businesses in their shop. Don’t mind paying an extra penny to help support as well, but keep in mind if you go there it’s $$.
Cozy little cafe that supports local artists by displaying and selling various items. They recently added superfood lattes to their menu. The beetroot latte and tumeric latte were creamy and perfectly spiced. Various options for milk and sweeteners. A must visit when in Brooks!
