Coffee 3/10 Desserts didn’t try Ambiance 6/10 Location 7/10 Staff Friendliness 3/10 Study/Work Friendly 3/10 I came to this place expecting a third wave quality coffee. Sadly, it was not my experience The barista looked burnt out and didn’t seem to enjoy the coffee making process. I ordered flat whites and as you can tell from the picture, the milk was not steamed right at all. It was scolding hot with a soapy looking milk froth that lacked the creamy velvety texture. And then the barista had the audacity to serve it to me. The coffee tasted burnt and over extracted with very undesirable bitterness with overwhelming body What’s the point of having fancy machinery with the Kees van der Westen espresso machine with sub-bar operating man power. Really disappointed!
Love the aesthetic of this cafe! Such a great place to study or get a coffee with a friend. I got a matcha latte not pictured - I wasn’t a fan, the stevia was strong and the drink was a bit overpriced. Nonetheless, I would recommend this place though if you’re looking for a nice quiet cafe.
Came into the shop and was having a pleasant enough time until some lady claiming to be the manager started yelling at the barista over serving free coffee to someone? not quite sure though as its common within coffee culture. But what made me even more shocked about this is that they have a poster of communist icon Che Guevara, this manager needs to be more self aware with her decor if she wants her experience to be "the standard". Otherwise the music, barista as well as were very pleasant. Frustrating to see people attempting to gentrify these environnements with attempts to seem genuine
1. As I’ve told all my friends, NEVER GO HERE, SPEND YOUR MONEY AT LITERALLY ANY OTHR CAFE. I have only gone once and the owner stormed into the shop to YELL at and berate a man that was sitting quietly. I didn’t really notice he was there until she started yelling at him. She wanted him to leave and accused him of “stealing heat” by being inside. Disgusting to treat anyone like that, and it was in front of other patrons, as well as her children unfortunately. Thankfully there’s other local shops we can all give our money to instead, that won’t treat unproblematic guests like this. 2. The chai was trash.
staff is nice, but that's about it. Internet is bumpy, prices are too high for what you get, and no electricity in the sockets so don't expect to have a sit down with your laptop.Food: 3/5
Beautiful little fishbowl coffee shop. Excellent coffee selection and experienced baristas. I met the owner once and he bought me the coffee - nice man. Prices can be a bit steep and seating can be limited. My favourite place to grab a coffee before the bus.
The staff used to be nice and the coffee good. I guess things change. Loud annoying music, unpleasant staff and burnt coffee. Not coming back.
Stumbled across this place, had a great coffee filter and cappuccino, barista was very nice, also very helpful in giving directions to the nearest atm.Food: 5/5
Really nice coffee with a rich aroma and flavor, staff is friendly too.Food: 5/5
A pastel pink coffee in the plateau? Count me in! They have awesome vegetable based lattes and the most unique out of all of them in my opinion is the beet root latte. It tasted interesting, but I probably wouldn’t have it again. However, their regular coffee and espresso based drinks are excellent!
