My daughter and I visited the Spa just after Christmas. What a wonderful place to unwind! We each had an excellent massage by qualified therapists ; then on to the Relaxation Room - dimly lit, extremely comfy, deep chairs and wonderful water. We both came out very relaxed and happy. A visit to the Spa for both of us will be part of every visit I make to the East Coast. A wonderful new tradition.

What an amazing day way to spend an afternoon. I can't say enough how impressed I was with our treatment at the spa of Essex. From the moment we walked in and Deanna greeted us, until we left the spa relaxed and rejuvenated, we had a first class experience. Our robes and slippers were super comfy, and we took full of advantage of the steam room and the sauna before getting an amazing hot stone massage. The relaxation room had a comfy chair big enough for two, and the shower facilities were well appointed as well. Everything from the quality of the massage to the hot tea and little snacks available between steam and sauna made for an amazing day at this spa. I highly recommend the Spa of Essex to anyone looking to get away and be pampered by some really talented and genuinely nice people.

We held a spa party there recently for a baby shower. They were very helpful making sure the attendees were properly paired with services. The accommodations are perfect for a small get together. The only issue we encountered was that we were rushed out after the treatments ended due to them closing. It would have been helpful for them to state how there would be no time after the treatments for the shower portion since I had been in contact numerous times regarding the shower plans and some services ran longer than discussed.

My husband and I discovered this wonderful place when looking to enjoy a couples massage for Valentines Day. We were treated to an unexpected gift for booking the appointment near that holiday. The previous spa we went to had just eliminated their couples massage room. We didn't realize what a gem we found. I have been to various spas in south east Connecticut and this one is by far the best with overall spa experience from the moment you walk in the door from the atmosphere to the service providers and the services. The staff is very friendly, personable and professional. The Spa of Essex is very accommodating if you tell them when you want to start your first treatment and when you need to leave by. After that you have no worries. I know they are very busy, but they manage to arrange the schedule so you don't run into other clients at all or often. In addition to the great service and amenities, one of our favorite features is the Relaxation Room where you go following your treatment or in between services. We loved the super comfy oversized chairs that the two of us can fit on together and enjoy the post massage glow I highly recommend a visit if not more to the Spa of Essex. You won't be disappointed..

Have gone to The Spa of Essex with my husband for a couples massage, with friends, and on my own over the past few years. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, services are always rejuvenating and relaxing, and the staff also gives me further explanation into whatever treatment I'm having done and the benefits to my overall health. I try to book something at least once every 1-2 months to keep me going!
