The Southside Restaurant and Bar

Truthfully, i would give this place 4.5 stars. I tried the grilled wings and they were really great. Maybe a couple were on the grill a little too long but still really tasty. I was kind of hoping they would have their own suicide sauce but they didn't unfortunately. Although, I appreciate them giving a generous amount of that sauce. Wings were 8.5-8.7 but my friend said they were better last time. The fries were a little too soft, was hoping for a little crisp to them. Washroom was clean. The staff were friendly. My server was Vanessa, and thought she did a great job. The inside definitely has that dive bar vibe, though. I'll definitely come back. This review is too long lol.

Had an amazing time last weekend! They had a live band playing. Food was okay, had the steak and eggs. Steak was well over cooked even though I asked med rare it came out well done, but still not bad. Service was slow and it was hard to find our server but it was moderately busy and we had great company. Will definitely go back!

Great experience, they look like they had a nice patio people were enjoying themselves, the cute bartender inside made things very easy, the food was actually pretty good, I got the special, roast, vegetables, mash. It was much better better then I expected. I then went down right by the lake to eat it was wonderful.

Great place for some food and drinks. Live band. The women who served me at my table red hair was very pleasant. Would definitely return.Food: 4/5

Haven’t been to this venue for years but decided the cold winter months are the perfect time for some live music. Service was top notch. Typical pub food. The band was Spit Fire Kings and they never ceased to amaze us with their diverse repertoire and the various vocals of band members. Would have liked to stay until the end of sets but had prior commitments for the next day. My rating is a 4 overall because of pub food which was decent - we shared jalepeno poppers which were served on a bed of tortilla chips with sour cream and salsa. The place is clean. Service a 5 and band a 5. I am happy we visited last night! we will return. Oh, the cover charge for the band was $5 a person. Pretty reasonable. Parking: Street parking.

The BEST live music venue in Long branch and along the Lakeshore West! Not only does Johnny hire some of the best bands in the GTA core, and has matinees running, his team is warm and friendly and the food is off the charts. Be sure to pop by to enjoy and support a few tunes with local top talent, or simply drop by for some great eats in a friendly environment! Carla

A piece of glass came out of my drink. If you order a can of beer, double-check the top. It was disgusting and dirty. bar tender didn't even apologize. I would not recommend this bar.Food: 1/5

I loved this place! Great friendly bar staff, a wonderful patio with a good choice of seating areas, BUT the food is amazing. I got beef stew with two pieces of bread, and a Rickard's Red. Amazingly friendly and great tasting.

Visited a while ago and just last night again and realized how much i missed going there! What an awesome spot. A real jem ! Cheers John, to a job well done.Food: 5/5
