The Shoe Market

My husband purchased a pair of athletic shoes recommended by foot doctor. We went to The Shoe Market because many shoe stores don’t carry them. The shoe sales rep measured his foot and had him try on 2 different sizes. My husband couldn’t decide which felt best so the rep suggested we take a pair home and walk around the house to see how they feel. We did, but on the way home my husband decided neither would work. I took the shoes back the next day without even taking them out of the box. When I tried too return them, much to my surprise I was told they could not be returned for credit to my card but must be exchanged or a store credit issued. I asked to speak to the store manager. Although I was upset I spoke calmly explaining that this policy was not mentioned to me when we made the purchase and I did not want a credit. He was rude and non compromising. He said the policy was posted in the store but we spent 30 minutes or so there and we both walked around and neither of us saw it. Nor was the policy mentioned when we made our purchase. The manager said we should have asked. Let the buyer beware. Unfortunately I have to go back there or lose $213.

This place is great I got a pair of work boots 7 months ago and they fell apart I walked in today and told them about it and after they looked at them I got a new pair of work boots.. now that's my shoe store from now on. So go and see what they have for you. .. it a good place to spend your hard money in for good quality shoes. And nice people to work with also Neal A

I took my mother in law to find a pair of sandals that would accommodate her foot that has issues with a toe. She had to have a sandal with Velcro. Our salesman John was wonderful and so patient but she couldn't find a pair that hit at the right spot. He must have dragged out over a dozen pair of shoes. When though there was no sale he was really great.

Love this store. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. The selection of the Birkenstock brand is great‼

Loved my experienced with this store! Ann and Miguel were such sweethearts that were very attentive of every detail to get me new shoes and insoles.

If you have never been, take your feet and get there. It's not your typical shoes store. These folks work with you to provide the best possible fit for you. They are not hurried and spend the time necessary. Recommend them highly.

I had a rewarding day with salesperson Ann. She was open & receptive to my request for a comfortable stylish Mary Jane shoe for dresses. Ask for Ann ladies.

I've always had a hard time finding shoes that fit my feet well. At The Shoe Market I had a lot of choices because of the large range of good brands they carry. John was a great help, adding pads to the shoes to make them fit my high arch. I live close to an hour away but will be going there for my shoes from now on.

My neighbor Lynn and I drive from Wedddington NC to your store because of Kelcey. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, customer service overachiever, and genuine. I always call to make sure he’s scheduled any day I can make the drive…. So worth it!! Charlotte doesn’t have a Kelcey. Customers as long as he’s there!!!

Best customer service! Great place if you have large feet or foot issues. Miguel is one of the salesman that helps us often, he is so nice & so patient.
