The Schoolhaus Brewhaus is a great place for dining with kids. The grounds are impressive and keep getting nicer every time I visit. Wednesday are really fun with great dinner specials. The putt putt course is fun and challenging. They also have a huge field for kids to run around on.

The food was great, probably the best German food I have had, but it was very slow. We waited over an hour for our meal, it did seem busy though. I did find a produce sticker on the slice tomato on my food, so that was kind of gross. The atmosphere is amazing and the views of Jacksonville and surrounding hills can't be beat. In short go for a beer and enjoy the scenery, grab some food if you have a few hours to slare

Wow!  The schnitzel is off the charts. Great German place with many of the same customs. If you are looking for a fast American meal, calm yourself. Long meals are how they eat in Europe.  Enjoy the slower pace and know what you are getting into. Everything was delicious and amazing. As mentioned, the schnitzel is a must try. It’s tender and breaded just right; pairs amazingly well with their cranberry sauce. Spatzel is also very tasty and hearty. Fondue was good and very filling, be sure and come hungry. Atmosphere is very well done and in my opinion, another top place to eat in Jacksonville.

The details about the food were misrepresented by the server when asked questions about it. They also got half of the orders wrong in our party of 10. For the price the food was okay. I will go back. The servers were very nice and checked on us a lot. I will order something different but would like to try more of the menu.

I like the atmosphere. But the food...is disappointing. I was born and raised in Germany (military brat and I'm half German). I have an idea of what the food is supposed to taste like and this place does not deliver. When my friends ask me what I think about the Brewhaus I just invite them over and show them how authentic German flavors are supposed to taste...sorry but my friends have said they enjoy my food more than what's served at the Brewhaus...
