I absolutely love this resort! Beautiful resort and beautiful lake. Excellent for swimming and fishing. Lots of wildlife and bird watching.

Now under NEW ownership! I stopped going here last year due to the previous owners and their indifference. I just learned of the new owner so I made a trip in for breakfast. EXCELLENT! Good food, good service and the place is clean again. It is now owned by a wonderful young family. Do not hesitate to stop in. Cheers to their continued success.

Cabin 11 "Where time stands still" Our review is mostly for Cabin 11, everything else in the resort was closed while we were staying here. And we do understand that the new owners only took over a few months ago, so we are taking that into consideration when we wrote this. Also realize that there is not much info online about Fish Lake Resort, not even on their own website! No pictures of accommodations or details. We booked our cabin in early November for 3 days over Thanksgiving weekend, our rate for cabin 11 was $250.00 a night. Before arriving we called several times to ask questions about the resort/cabin amenities and local information. The staff that answered the phone was polite and courteous but didn't have much information to pass on. At first we were told that the near by Lake of the Woods restaurant and store would be open, after calling them we found out they were not. You would think that the staff would have and know these things to better serve their guests, after all isn't this a "resort"? Cabin 11 For $250.00 a night I expected lots more! Fish Lake resort really disappointed us when it came to this. The cabin looks like they repoed it from someone's grandma who lived out in the country. I'm serious see attached pictures. All the furniture was Good Will chic at best. Couches were all worn out and saggy. There were also two lazy boy type chairs present, one I think someone died in and the other had a broken handle and would not recline. This is sad considering that there are resorts in Ashland and Bend that are charging less for a nicer cabin. For $250.00 a night during off season I expected a modern cabin, with everything working! There were rips in the kitchen linoleum, busted heat vents that can be hazardous to bare feet and children, broken bed frames (2), shabby kitchen cabinets (including one that appeared to have been punched!), shower faucets that were missing handles, exposed hot water heater (near the back door) that didn't even get the water that hot. The one little thing we did enjoy was the clock in the living room that occasionally worked but most often didn't. My kids and I would try to guess what time it would be showing when we came in from outside. It truly made the time of our stay at Fish Lake Resort stand still! All these things you expect to find at a place that charges a lot less than $250.00 a night. The quality of cabin 11 does not justify their rate. Do yourself a favor and ask about the quality of your accommodation before paying. My family and I were very disappointed in the type of quality of accommodation Fish Lake Resort is willing to rent to people. There are resorts in Ashland and Bend that charge less for better accommodations.
