Had came here many years ago for lunch and remembered the food and services were excellent. I was out in the area of the deli again and decided to stop in for lunch. The deli and the server Alisha were fantastic. The turkey club and a basket of their famous fries did not disappoint either. It was just like I remembered it. Would highly recommend coming here for lunch. The deli has great atmosphere with not only the food but the inside is full of pics of New York city and famous deli signs also beer and other adult beverages to boot There is an enclosed outdoor seating area to taken in the sunshine and tables in the inside of the deli. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, sides to choose from. It just can't be beat. Ample parking, handicap parking, take out, Delivery available through Door Dash, curbside pick-up. They accept credit card, 4% discount when using cash, debit cards
There are some places that are really special and I'm so happy I found one. This sandwich had e everything you could possibly want in a sandwich. Corned beef was perfectly seasoned and moist, the coleslaw they used was minced personal favorite of mine, and just the right amount of Russian dressing. It has to be the best deli I've been to since my last trip to New York. Anyplace that has a pickle choice old or new is A+ in my book. Do yourself a favor and check them out, you won't regret it. Almost forgot, those garlic fries are to die for. Reminds me of old school fries cooked in animal fat!
Very disappointed with the price While looking at the menu, I already thought the food was overpriced. Then when I received the receipt I learned that they charged even more than the listed price. That just isn't goid customer service. You can get coupons online for deals. This is owned by locals and I want to support them. The food is good, I ordered the number one Ruben with coleslaw and Russian dressing. I was surprised how small the sandwich was for the price. The sandwich did have a good amount of meat on it and it did fill me up but about four bites per half sandwich. There is a dine in area that seems inviting or take out is popular here. There is a special, were you can get your picture on the wall if you finish the mighty size meal.
My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant about 3 years ago - before COVID and it was great, the bread was freshly homemade, the cornedbeef was fresh, full of flavor and juicy. The meal I received today was horrible, just the opposite. I ordered a large corned beef,a large club sandwich and garlic fries for $36 -out rages. The bread was stale, the cornedbeef was old and dry with no flavor. The club sandwich didn't even look like a club sandwich, it had only one piece of bacon on it, shameful.
We ordered Matza Ball soup, french fries with gravy, and a corned beef sandwich. Let's start with the fries. Yummy, really good. They were crispy enough to stand up to the gravy without getting soggy and were nicely seasoned. The soup was, like all their soups, homemade. The broth in that soup is great. My husband ordered the sandwich, which had swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. He loved it. The service was great. They have a full bar for those interested. They also have great cheese cake. It's all good!
Bronx Deli has pastrami and corned beef sandwiches that are as good, as any available in The Bronx. The matzoh ball soup was authentic, as well. Since this is a Michigan deli, it's got a more diverse offering than you'd find in The Bronx. Ham and cheese, BLT sandwiches and Buffalo wings are available as well. There's a large bar, which I suspect is filled with folks watching the big TV when there's a sporting event. It is a welcome oasis in an area filled with fast food and chain restaurants.
After hearing raves about this place I probably expected too much. When ordering I decided to go with the supposed signature Ruben my accompanying friend also on his first visit ordered the same. We picked a beer from a list more than adequate to serve the tastes of many, and before we were have way through with our drinks the sandwiches came along with an order of French fries ordered as a side. Fries were tasty and plentiful but that's were things started to fade. We both agreed that the bread was tough and hard to bite through. But the corned beef was equally difficult and pulled out of the sandwich when trying to bite it off. I found the Russian dressing next to non-existent and the sauerkraut was closer to shredded cabbage in flavor - meaning it lacked the punch of tartness that most of us expect from sauerkraut. And I though the cheese to be a tad skimpy. Table service was good to excellent and there is no complaint there. But all and all the experience at Bronx Deli was underwhelming, and I most likely will not return. My friend said he would definitely not go back. Mainly there are too many places nearby that serve a much better sandwich for less money and have a better beer selection. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day.
Best deli in the area! Always fast, friendly, and delicious. Even the small sandwiches are huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. Love this place.
Bronx deli has my favorite salads! They seem to challenge themselves to see how much they can stack on a plate. The #96 is my favorite sandwich. I've never ordered a large sandwich but a small is usually more than enough for leftovers.
Absolutely loved this place. The food was excellent. The carrot cake is phenomenal. The place was clean. The staff was very nice, real people. Definitely going back when I'm in the area. Thanks guys!
