Reviews
I rely heavily on online reviews for many things including hotels and inns, but it is a rare occasion when I am moved to write a review of my own. I've stayed at The Sanders twice. On both occasions I was in Helena for work and booked a room based on the recommendation of a coworker. Both rooms I stayed in were the perfect combination of historic charm and modern convenience. My favorite part of staying here is the incredible attention to detail and thought put into each room. I spent time during each visit perusing the diverse and interesting antique books and other unique furnishings in my room which were often related to the history of the house or Helena. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the owners Bobbi and Rock are generous and accommodating hosts. Tea was dropped off at my door early in the morning so I could get my caffeine fix while I got ready and breakfast was delicious and available early so I could be out the door on time for work. My second visit was my first time away from my newborn daughter for any length of time and it was nice to be made to feel so at home.

We stayed one night at Sanders and it was a wonderful experience. Rock and Bobbi made us feel so welcome and took us on a tour of this historic house which is full of beautiful original woodwork. They added bathrooms to the rooms and the rooms are tastefully decorated and bed was so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, had a delicious home made quiche and muffin for breakfast. The quiche was so fluffy and light. Thanks Rock and Bobbi we will definitely come back.

My wife and I are part of a group that has met for a reunion for 18 years. Each meeting has been in a different location. We have stayed in upscale modern hotels and in old classic hotels. This time the host couple chose the Sanders Bed and Breakfast. Each person, twelve in all, remarked that this was the best venue of all. Bobbi and Rock, the owners, made the house available as though it were ours. We stocked the fridge with beer, sodas, snacks, etc. There was no limit on how late we could use the first floor areas for our gatherings. We are all good friends and can be loud when together.
Our rooms were all very clean, the beds comfortable, the towels thick and soft, and each room was nicely decorated with antiques.
A thermal carafe with coffee and fine China cups were left outside our doors at the time we requested. The breakfasts were very good. The amount served was adequate. Too many places feel serving a large breakfast is a good selling point. One could ask for more, but none of us did.
Bobbi and Rock are very sociable and enjoy getting to know their guests.
I have stayed in a number of bed and breakfast places, both here and in Europe. The Sanders is by far the best. In fact I think one should travel to Helena, MT just to stay there.

We just stayed at the Sanders again, and it continues to be a favorite. The historic building, the unique rooms (with modern bathrooms), and nice quiet neighborhood make for a great stay. Bobbi and Rock continue to make incredible breakfasts, and they make it easy to meet others at the breakfast table. We also appreciate that the common rooms, sleeping rooms and bathrooms are immaculate and fresh.

Our friends stayed at the B&B, so we were invited to the most scrumptious breakfast! Thanks Bobbi, Alex, and Angie!
