The Red Door Restaurant

Used to like going to the Red Door on Wednesdays for ribs. My brother was visiting at Christmas & we took him there one Wednesday night for ribs. They have changed the BBQ sauce to very hot & peppery. Not to everyone's liking. Southern fried chicken was also very peppery. Would be better if you let people add their own pepper at the table. My 7 year old grand nephew was also with us & he could not eat the chicken nuggets because they were also full of hot pepper. My mother could not eat her dinner because of all the hot pepper. She had a bowl of cereal when we got home. Not a pleasant outing for my family. Unless the Red Door goes back to their original ribs & chicken, we won't be going back. Too bad, because it used to be very good. 😕

The food is terrible.. And I don't say this lightly. We had a Ceasar salad, the lettuce was fresh, Menü said with bacon. I couldn't find a crumb! We also had beef short ribs, on polenta. The beef was tender enough but they were cold and the polenta was NOT good. Usually we don't have desert but this time thought we should try the Apple crumble, simple enough I think,. The apples were still in the raw state and the oats on top not really cooked. On a positive note the service was friendly and our drinks were good.

Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere. Garlic parmesan wings are a must try!!
