This restaurant is my favorite in Halifax since I moved here a year ago. I have never had a single meal that wasn't perfection. Oyster bar is perfection, and the wine selection is great. I always recommend the seafood, but the steak and lamb options have never disappointed.
Upscale and excellent restaurant, especially for seafood. Attractive ambience with good service. They know how to cook fish properly. Central location in downtown Halifax. Recommended.
Just lovely! Great company, delicious food oysters to die for! Really terrific service and cozy atmosphere. Thanks Press Gang. Will definitely be back
This place is amazing!! The restaurant looks like antique wooden whiskey bar with touch of artistic beauty ~ we've had enough seafood so we tried the beef tenderloin and lamb - it was well grilled and perfect! The oysters are also very fresh which we loved it - highly recommend this place!
Enjoyed the seafood risotto - plenty of different seafood... lobster, shrimps, scallop and other. But the old architecture is special. The second oldest building in Halifax, this was building in the mid 1750s - we ate in the room with the bar, which formerly was the barn and the rooms were upstairs.
They were amazing. The shellfish was fresh, bright, scallops wrapped in smoked salmon, plated with a beet puree and carrots. The plating was gorgeous. The fish stew was very rich with cream and sherry and full of big chunks of seafood. After the scallop dish it was nearly impossible to beat.
Oysters were amazing and charcuterie was delicious, great atmosphere and date spot.
