Welcome to the Powerhouse. Where great food, good friends and a little bit of history come together.

Story

The POWERHOUSE, a historical landmark at the centre of Stoney Creek, provided power for electric rail lines in the 1890s. Now, more than a century later, this small piece of history is home to an exciting restaurant.

Come by and take a seat at our 18 ft. bar. Once the vestry at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. We have great space for parties! Experience what The Powerhouse has to offer!

First time at Powerhouse and it was really cool to take in all the detail and history of the building. Food was great, we had the buffalo chicken dip to start and we both loved our meals, the Salmon plate and the Burger.nWe went on a Saturday and there was a live band that was awesome called Cherry Bomb.nWill definitely be back and highly recommend for a lively night out!
Went for my mom’s birthday dinner last night and I ordered this Korean beef and broccoli bowl. And I have to say it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever ordered at any restaurant! It was so craveable, I even dreamt about it last night lol Even asked if they sold the sauce there haha. Will definitely be ordering it again!! And our server was so kind and personable during the entire experience : I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for everything!
Not sure I will come here again. We made reservations as we planned to see a live group they had plus grab a bite. My friends got there to be told their system overbooked tables and we had to wait. When I got there 15 mins later they were at the bar waiting. So I went to ask what was going on. Was told same story about the system messing up. I asked how long it was going to take and she said she had no idea so I asked to speak to the manager. When he came over I asked him what they meant by the system overbooking. He said the problem was that they sent a confirmation and we hadnt confirmed our table. Went to check this out with my friend and the manager said she would have rcvd a text. She did get an email saying our table was confirmed but the manager was gone to get us a table while this happened. When she booked she didnt even give her number so how could the problem have been on her when she didnt provide her phone number-ughhhh. We were eventually taken to the top floor-I had told the lady at the door about my disability issues but at this point we just were hungry and wanted to eat. I had a bowl. It was ok. My son had chicken fingers. He said the batter was all falling off and very little chicken and very salty fries. I do have to say our waitress was extremely kind/friendly and always smiling. Just overall did not like the experience there. The building itself is very cool and is very unique.
Wow!nGreat building, great food, great service.nAny restaurant that is in a historic building is usually a pretty special dining experience, and this is no exception.nEasy to get to and park as well.nA beautiful park with an interesting water feature is adjacent to the restaurant, to relax before or after your meal if you have time.nDining with the spacious rooms, vault ceilings and all of that wood is pretty cool.nGreat patio if that is your thing as well.nWe had chicken wings, wraps, and I had the liver and onions.nAll the food was delicious.nThe wait staff were very friendly and attentive.nWe’ll be back for sure!
We went Saturday night for the live band. The appetizers were delicious and wine was good too. The waitress we had was very attentive. The band was great. We would definitely go again.nnI forgot to take pictures of the food but it was delicious. We had the spinach dip and something else.
