Story

The POWERHOUSE, a historical landmark at the centre of Stoney Creek, provided power for electric rail lines in the 1890s. Now, more than a century later, this small piece of history is home to an exciting restaurant.

Come by and take a seat at our 18 ft. bar. Once the vestry at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. We have great space for parties! Experience what The Powerhouse has to offer!

We enjoyed our experience at The Powerhouse. We were celebrating Valentine’s Day there and they had a nice pre selected menu for the occasion. Everything tasted delicious and the price was very reasonable. It was not busy and they still had available tables even though everything else was fully booked. We will be back.

Had the most tasty beet and feta salad for lunch. My friend had the chicken sandwich with fries. She said it was delish. I know the portions are huge - neither of us finished. I wish I'd taken photos of the plates - the presentation was lovely.nnThe building itself has really interesting architecture. It was the old powerhouse and they've kept a lot of the brick, wood and huge windows. Great place to hold an event - they have a semi private room that looks beautiful.

This was my first time at this establishment. As you walk in there’s a heat lamp, which was nice after a chilly walk. We were seated right away by our lovely server Herman, 11/10 service. He was very prompt and took very good care of us. They did seem a bit short staffed which is expected on a Monday night, but the ambiance of this place made it all worth while. The food was fantastic hats off to the chefs and vegetarian friendly. With the smaller menu it was very easy to pick what to eat, and everything was plated beautifully. I will be returning in the future my next trip to Hamilton.

Today I was there for my birthday lunch with a few friends. Harmen was our server, and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. I had the nachos, which were the bomb as usual. Thank you for a great time with delish food!!

I recently dined at Powerhouse Restaurant and really liked the ambiance. The restaurant is set in an old aesthetic building, which gives it a unique and charming atmosphere. The food was pretty good, and the prices were reasonable. It's a great spot if you're looking for a place with character and solid, well-priced meals.
