Don Cherry's Sports Grill located at the Gateway Ice Centre is a 212 seat restaurant, patio, and bar over looking an NHL size ice rink. With great food, a great atmosphere and friendly staff, we're sure you'll enjoy your experience. Watch your favourite team on one of our 12 LED big screen TV's!!

Great food. The service was good and the food came quickly. The windows could use some cleaning.
We were told about this place by our neighbors and we have tried chicken wings with the fries and the same of the fish and chips and both where excellent and I also appreciated the waitress Lori who suggested for an additional 5.00 you would get an extra piece of fish and I appreciate a person being informative to our benefit. It is service like that and good food will have us coming back and we will make sure to tell our friends. Keep up the good work.
We go up after our games most weeks. Good wings. I like the new menu with the healthier items. It's a good change for after a game. Service is always great. We mostly have Sierra serve us and she's always great. She's friendly, knows our beer orders, attentive, and always has a great conversation with us.
I've honestly been avoiding this place based soley on the name not a big fan lol BUT, the atmosphere was cozy for a sports bar and our server was terrific. As for the food, the fish was fantastic the fries were from heaven and the cole slaw was great....a real hat trick. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her chicken ceasar wrap and fries and in all sincerity it was quite filling. Absolutely a must try for a enjoyable evening out. Please note: This was a review for Don Cherry's, before the name changed to what it is now.
I would say this place is a pretty typical sports bar at a hockey rink The food is decent the service is poor and if you go late at night you won't get served too quickly. If anything I would suggest the pizza on the menu. The beers are expensive however. Usually only one or two girls working so if you go up after the beer league boys get there you'll be waiting a while. Bathrooms are outside the restaurant and down the hall. Would grab a beer though if I was ther again but it isn't a place I would go out of my way for.
This place has gone down hill since it opened. Sitting along the glass overlooking the rink is nice but the employee assume your just there to watch, and you never get served. Not her fault. The hostess stand should be at the front door, with a hostess ready to greet/seat people so you don't have hockey parents just sitting in a restaurant not ordering anything. It doesn't help that there are over 30 people in the restaurant and one waitress, who is also the bartender, and hostess, and probably the manager too. The cleanliness is also subpar for any restaurant or bar for that matter... Tables feel and look greasy with bits of food everywhere. I get that same feeling at most of the UR chain of restaurants.
What a joke. Went to Don Cherry's Gateway Stoney Creek with a family of 6 for dinner Sunday. The Web site suggested 1/2 price appetizers from 3-6 pm. When i get there, i proceed to order and the employee said, Oh, Sorry, the web sites wrong. That it, no compensation and then didn't come to our table. Had to go back to bar and ask for service. Was told then that the website has been wrong for some time and that she has had to tell other customers the same thing. Update your website. Poorly managed, never to return. Poor service, littered with empty beer bottles from the restaurant in the rink seating area. Dangerous with young kids around. Stay away.
"San Jose Sharks" Fish was light and gently crispy. Probably the best french fries I've ever had, also gently crispy. Everyone very much enjoyed their dishes, including the "Gordie Howe" burger.
This place really surprised me. I was not expecting much. The food was actually really great and the service superb. We tried a pizza and even that was really awesome. Solid choice for some beer and food.
Good food but they don’t answer the phone. Called 10 times and they would not even pick up. They need to consider hiring more staff. It’s so unprofessional to never answer the phone!
