Wandered in to this beautiful gallery after hearing about it from friends. The space, with two story high windows facing the water and the harbour of Vancouver, is stunning and full of cool and changing light. The staff was wonderful. When I was there last the second floor wasn't open, but I imagine more gallery space would make visiting even better. I saw the Glyadyelov photo exhibit. It was beautifully curated, and so current and important. I'll visit here again often. This is the kind of gallery space Vancouver needs!
Stunning art gallery with clean and sophisticated lines! The Interior Infinite Exhibition was great and very fascinating, with a carnival theme. Compared to some other museums I have visited, I find that the exhibitions are quite contemporary and striking in nature, which is compatible with the modern architecture of the Polygon Gallery. This themed exhibition focuses on costume and masquerade as strategies for revealing, rather than concealing, identities. The theme revolves around the spirit of Carnival, a celebration of radical togetherness and distinctive self-expression. I like the mix of formats employed - both media pieces, paintings and sculptures, which gave the exhibition an intimate and cohesive feel. To note: "Admission to The Polygon Gallery is by donation, made possible through generous, multi-year support from BMO Financial Group." You can sign up beforehand on Saturdays and Thursdays to join the guided tour in a socially distanced manner. Tours take around 45 minutes. I definitely think that the guided tour gave me more insight into the artwork, and provided me with a better understanding of it. We were lucky to have the curator explain some of the rationale behind the artwork, which provided more insight, instead of merely looking at the artwork without understanding how it related to the themes. The curator who led our tour was evidently knowledgeable and passionate about the work, which made the experience more enjoyable. Their souvenir shop is really cute and quirky as well, with interesting gifts or pieces you could give to others. My only gripe is that the exhibition is a bit small, but other than that, it's a lovely way to spend a sunny summer afternoon, plus you get to enjoy views of the Vancouver skyline from the museum deck/Lonsdale Quay.
Wonderful art exhibitions with great talks about the works
A nice modern Art museum in north van, beautiful building and great space; was there for the third realm exhibition, it’s quite interesting. Suggested donations for admission is &10, it’s not bad
I had a great time. The art is amazing. The view from the gallery is breathtaking. Highly recommend! The gift shop is great too; customer service is exceptional!
Wonderful art gallery in the heart of Lonsdale Quay. The gallery is 5min walk from Seabus and you can’t miss it. Outdoor feature a water feature which you can walk across, restaurants, and performers. Inside the gallery feature artwork, shops and the 24hour clock film. You can stay as long as you want since the film run on 24hour time. Recommend it for anyone. Also there is entry fee by donation.
I was just walking north Vancouver and ran into this beautiful gallery. The architecture from the outside as in the inside is really great; and the view... impressive. Such a good place for spending some time and enjoying an good landscape.
This place is amazing. The staff is really friendly and it’s location is awesome. If you’re free on a sunny day then do make a visit at this gallery. It’s very interesting plus there are some breathtaking views outside this gallery.

Wonderful choices from Nemesis coffee cafe bar, next to the Polygon Gallery. .Many areas to view the water , city skyline and people passing by. Ideally located next to the ever popular Lonsdale Quay. The Polygon offers new and upcoming artists an invaluble opportunity to display their art . Local and international art from around the world are showcased in this state of the art gallery. Accessible . Staff are friendly and eager to be of assistance.
Admission is donation based and the staff was super kind, friendly and helpful. They also have a cute shop carrying very well-designed but a bit pricey products. The exhibition was very inspiring and artsy. Overall very delightful experience and will definitely recommend to friends!
