I found this place when browsing Groupon vouchers. Beside an art store, Monika also has acrylic painting activities in there. Just be prepared to buy her book, it's a must after registering for the class thus just 4 . Her boutique is small but has a good artsy vibes. Lots of the class participants are regular customers. Monika herself is very friendly and good at giving tips about how to mix colors. I enjoyed my time there and might be come again next time.
Monika's Art Boutique is awesome! For the 2nd year in a row my son has attended Summer camp and just loves it! The instructors are caring and fun, and the activities are on point. All different types of art, outdoor play, learning and even yoga! As a working parent - their flexible drop off and pick up times stand out from a lot of other camps. Highly recommend!
My husband and myself booked a two hour session with Monika at her cute boutique. I would highly recommend checking out her boutique and booking a session for yourself. It was fun and relaxing and Monika was helpful with any questions we had. She provided everything we needed to make a great painting! I would love to go back and visit her again sometime!
My daughter goes to before/after school care at the art studio. She absolutely loves it! I cannot say enough good things about Monika and her team. Monika combines her education background with her passion for art into ensuring a fun experience for kids that come through. They’ve done so many cool projects, and I’ve noticed my daughter’s art skills have really improved in her short time there so far.
I was looking for something different to try out and came across this studio. I’ve never painted for fun before. We did a studio paint session where we all painted owls. I found it relaxing, fun and therapeutic. It’s a great little stress relief. Monika is really warm and friendly and you follow her instruction during the class. I’ve come back a few times since. I would love to see a paint paired with a glass of wine night!
I absolutely love painting at this studio and at nights orchestrated by them! The teacher Monika has always provided exceptional instruction. I always have fun, and also feel like I have improved. Great environment and professionally run.
I can't wait to attend this years Art World Expo! this will be our 3rd year attending. My children enjoy the Art camps put on by MAB ventures and the haunted house every Halloween. There is always something going on at MAB, they are part of many amazing local artist events and the social savvy workshops are a must for every business person.
Best little shop I love it crazy for there leggings they truly are the best once of a kind and best part there made here in Canada I can go on love there jewelry and candles and soaps and unique art simple a beautiful gem in North Vancouver the owner is a doll
I attended the Art Expo 2014 with my daughter for the 1st time and was terribly disappointed.First of all, there was a long wait at the entrance, I couldn't pick up my tickets at will call, because here was no such thing. I left early because no-one I asked could give me times for the events that were supposed to take place that day. When I phoned the organizer she was too busy to talk to me and told me to call back. I was outraged a the $35 per ticket which I later found out included food but when I asked at the event I was told it was an extra $20 unless I was a VIP. I asked for a refund since I am a student with a disability who bought this as a teat for Mother's day and was refused by the organizer. I would think twice about attending such a pretentious event where people do not acknowledge or talk to you.
The owner is a real pro. Encourages every student to try new things and push out of their comfort zone, without being overbearing. All supplies are on site if needed, so make this place your oasis of meditation in your stressful week!!
