Obviously from the other reviews, the pastries and desserts here are great. The employees are so wonderful as well. Tom, the owner, is always so friendly. If he didn't have what I'm looking for, he always has great recommendations for where to go.

Had a quick pre-bday lunch with my mom and this a a real deal bakery. The chocolate chip cookies are by far the best in the 518... they actually are even better than Levian Bakery in NYC. My mother waxed poetic about the croissant and bear claw. Bread is spectacular. Placid Baker, keep doing Troy proud!

A charming bakery offering the most delectable baked goods I have enjoyed in years. Service is friendly. Prices are on target for the quality and size! of the fare. There were just too many yummy-looking treats to choose from. This bakeshop will definitely be a favorite for treats!

The best bakery in town! They are true artisans–the Ciabatta is my go-to bread. Unfortunately their hours are very limited and can be subject to change, so take it when you can get it!

Best baked goods in all the land.Their granola is the best I've ever had! Addendum= holy Sh@# I just had a piece of their pizza and trust me when I say I've had many a slice of pizza, BEST in Troy hands down!!!!!!
